Caamas

Caamas is a toxic planet in the Cirius System that was formerly a highly populated habitable world, until the Empire bombarded it shortly after the Clone Wars, [...] nearly all the inhabitants of the planet. The native Caamasi were a peaceful civilization, much like Alderaan. The destruction of Caamas remained a mystery for some time because Caamas had a very powerful planetary shield, and the Empire somehow managed to bring it down. It was later revealed in the The Hand of Thrawn Duology that it was sabotaged by a group of Bothans working for the Empire. The issue with the Caamas document nearly tore the New Republic apart; this was actually a clever scheme devised by Moff Disra, who went against Admiral Pellaeon's wishes of peace.

Cadomai

Cadomai is a frigid world, largely covered by sparse tundra. The planet is home to the Snivvians.

Cal-Seti

Cal-Seti is home to the Ramsees Hed docking facility. Kyle Katarn visited the facility to place a homing device in a ship destined for an Imperial facility on the ice world Anteevy in the game Star Wars: Dark Forces.

Carida

Carida is first mentioned in the Star Wars Expanded Universe as the site of an Imperial training academy, the Imperial Academy. It was a large planet with high gravity and a wide variety of climates. The planet was destroyed by Kyp Durron using the Sun Crusher. At the time, Kyp was under the influence (but not control) of the Sith Lord Exar Kun.

Carida was also the homeworld of Admiral Ozzel and Ambassador Furgan.

Castell

Castell is the homeworld of the Gossam. During the Clone Wars, Castell was the headquarters of the Commerce Guild.

Cathar

Cathar is the homeworld of the cat-like species of the same name, the Cathar. A planet of rolling savannahs and densely forested uplands, Cathar was one of the worlds conquered by the Mandalorians during the Mandalorian War. The famous Jedi Juhani was from Cathar, although raised on Taris.

Cato Neimoidia

One of the Neimoidian "purse-worlds", Cato Neimoidia is the location of Nute Gunray's secret redoubt and was seen in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. It is a colony world of the extremely wealthy planet Neimoidia, and is located in the Colonies region of the galaxy. The planet is famous for its bridges, and is sometimes given the accolade "The Bridge World".

Several events took place on Cato Neimoidia during the Clone Wars, including a failed mission with Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. Eventually, the Galactic Republic took control of the planet. Cato Neimoidian citizens' refusal to lose their home caused some minor uprisings in some bridge cities, but the Republic learned to control them by sending out frequent patrols.

Most of these patrolling assignments were given to Jedi Master Plo Koon and his clone division. Master Koon flew in his Jedi starfighter from city to city, keeping watch for disturbances involving the citizens. When Chancellor Palpatine enacted Order 66, causing all clone troopers to kill the Jedi, the instructions quickly reached Cato Neimoidia. The clone wingmen flying with Master Koon received the message, and fired upon the Jedi’s starfighter. His ship spun out of control and crashed into one of the planet's bridges.

It is unclear whether George Lucas intended Cato Neimoidia to be the original homeworld of the Neimoidians. The planet Neimoidia is supposedly where they originate from, but that is an Expanded Universe concept.

Centares

Centares is a terrestrial planet with a temperate climate and no moons. Its population is estimated to be about one billion. It was on this planet where Darth Vader learned the name of Luke Skywalker.

Cerea

Cerea is a temperate, forested planet that is the homeworld of the species of the Cereans. Ki-Adi-Mundi is from this planet. The planet was the site of nearly constant battling during the Clone Wars, but Ki-Adi-Mundi and his clone troopers were able to successfully defend it.

Chad

Chad, also known as Chad III, is the homeworld of Jedi Knight Callista and the Chadra-Fan species. Chad is largely covered by ocean, where some humans make a living by following herds of cy'een. There are also extensive swamps and marshes where the Chadra-Fan reside.

Chandrila

Chandrila is the home planet of Mon Mothma and is the second planet in the Chandrila System. The planet is covered with lush green land, rolling hills, vast oceans, and immense, pristine cities. The inhabitants are very democratic and environmentally friendly. Debates are encouraged on a regular basis in a debate rotunda that is located in nearly every settlement on the planet. The planet was a supporter of the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War. In the computer game Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, Grand Moff Kohl Seerdon led an invasion of the planet and intended to blockade the capital city, Hanna, with walls. Luke Skywalker led a reclamation effort with Rogue Squadron and forced Seerdon to retreat.

Chandrila is also visited by the main character in the Jedi Academy computer game. It is depicted as large, misty caverns underground, filled with glowing crystals and has an eerie feeling. The chasm area visited is filled with ancient Jedi tombs

Charubah

One of the most technologically advanced worlds in the Hapes Cluster, Charubah manufactures the Hapan Gun of Command, one of the many gifts provided to Leia Organa Solo by the Hapans.

Chazwa

Chazwa is a cold planet in the Orus Sector which is located along a popular freighter traffic route.

Cholganna

Cholganna is the homeworld of the Nexu and was colonized by Bothans, humans and Gran in 4,000 BBY. It has abundant prairies and vast forests and high mountains filled with ten types of animal life.

Cinnagar

Cinnagar is another name for the planet Empress Teta.

Clak'dor VII

Clak'dor VII, home to the Bith, is located in the Colu System. This once-beautiful world was all but destroyed in a Bith chemical war. The Bith now live in cities that are sealed off from the rest of the world to avoid the massive pollution.

Colla IV

Colla IV is a world far from the galactic core, which is inhabited by Colicoids, a species known for their callous and murderous nature. The Colicoid Creation Nest was contracted by the Trade Federation to design the Droideka (which they created in their own, insectoid image) and also the Droid Tri-Fighter, which was based on the skull shape of a predator native to the planet, for the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The planet has been in a diplomatic row for years, in relation to the death and consumption of a number of off-world visitors.

Commenor

Commenor is a temperate planet located near the edge of the Corellian Sector. It serves mainly as a starport and trading planet, and is known for its glittering gemstones.

Cona

Cona is the homeworld of the Arcona. It is always hot and has very little water. The atmosphere is filled with ammonia vapor.

Concord Dawn

Concord Dawn is an arid, sparsely populated world inhabited mainly by farmers. It was also home to a number of Mandalorians: Concord Dawn was the birthplace of Jango Fett as well as his mentor Jaster Mereel. Jango Fett and his clones, Boba Fett and the Republic Clone Troopers, have been described as speaking with Concord Dawn accents implying that Concord Dawn residents speak in New Zealand accents (Concord Dawn is also the name of a New Zealand band with an international reputation). Concord Dawn is also home to the deadly Kratos Plague. The spores come from plants native to Concord Dawn. The natives are inoculated as children. Jango Fett tried to infect Darth Tyranus with Kratos Plague as a bargaining chip at their first meeting to discuss cloning. Jango kept an antidote in his ship with a self destruct device linked to a monitor in his chest plate should he infect someone and be killed.

Corbos

Corbos was an Outer Rim mining colony wiped out by the Leviathans of Corbos. In 6,900 BBY it was the site of the Battle of Corbos, the end of the Hundred-Year Darkness.

Corellia

Corellia is the homeworld of the infamous Corellians, including Han Solo, Wedge Antilles, Corran Horn, and Garm Bel Iblis. It is the capital planet of the Corellian sector, and of the Corellian system which includes Corellia, Selonia, Drall and the double worlds of Talus and Tralus. In the days of the Galactic Republic, it was ruled by a Diktat, or governor, while the sector had a seat in the Galactic Senate. The Corellian Security Force (CorSec) polices the planet. Corellia is famous for its spacefaring culture, alcohol, smugglers, pirates, and general rogue tradition. Most of the planet itself is green and lush, with great, cosmopolitan cities such as its capital, Coronet, alongside forests, beaches, swamps, gently rolling grasslands, and spectacular mountains. Large space stations and shipyards, as well as most of the industry, are located in orbit.This is the homeworld of the mighty Corellian Corvette (a frigate used by the Rebel Alliance in the Galactic civil war).The Tantive IV,Captained by Raymus Antilles, was a Corellian Corvette and it was on that ship that princess Leia Organa was captured by Darth Vader

The planet is depicted up in the Nintendo 64 video game Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, in the MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, and the multiplatform video game Jedi Academy.

Corulag

Corulag is a populated terrestrial world located in the Corulus System. Corulag was a Core World—that is, it lay close to the center of the galaxy and very near to the capital of the New Republic, Coruscant. The population is mostly human with Aqualish, Ithorians and Selkaths representing it as well. The terrain of the planet includes urban areas, oceans, plains, bamboo forests, and jungles.

In The Unifying Force, the nineteenth and final novel in the New Jedi Order series, Corulag was the site of a battle between elements of the New Republic fleet led by Galactic Alliance generals Wedge Antilles and Garm Bel Iblis en route to an attack on Coruscant, and invading Yuuzhan Vong forces.

Corulag is also the homeworld of the Imperial commander Juno Eclipse and the smuggler Duran Lordes.

Coruscant

Coruscant, seen in Episodes I, II, III and VI, was the capital of the Old Republic, the Galactic Empire, the New Republic, the Galactic Alliance, and the Yuuzhan Vong Empire, as well as being the home planet for one of the galaxies biggest corporations, Coruscant StarYards. It is generally agreed that Corusant is the most important world in the Star Wars galaxy, evidenced by the fact that its hyperspace coordinates are (0,0,0). The planet is essentially one giant city, with skyscrapers jutting several kilometers into the atmosphere. Approximately 1 trillion people inhabit the planet. When the Yuuzhan Vong invaded, they destroyed one of its four moons and used massive dovin basals to move the planet into a tighter orbit, allowing lush vegetation to grow on it. It was then called Yuuzhan'tar ("Creche of the Gods", in the Yuuzhan Vong language) and made the capital of the Yuuzhan Vong occupation until being recaptured by the Galactic Alliance.

Corvis Minor

Corvis Minor is a planet with an utterly forgettable history. Most complete Imperial libraries have a multiple datacard box set named The Complete History of Corvis Minor. However, contained within the box is a compact, yet powerful emergency blaster. This oddity was the result of the Emperor's efforts to provide hidden, secret resources for his agents' use. Given Corvis Minor's complete, total, and utter lack of significance in galactic history, it was considered highly unlikely that anyone other than one of the Emperor's agents would ever discover one of these hidden blasters.

During his escape from the Super Star Destroyer Lusankya, Corran Horn serendipitously obtained a blaster from a Corvis Minor history box in Ysanne Isard's private library while searching for a secret door or mechanism. He ironically remarked to himself, If a blaster is considered the complete history of Corvis Minor, I'm thinking it's not a vacation spot.

During the Thrawn Crisis, former Emperor's Hand Mara Jade was able to use her knowledge of this secret Imperial resource to obtain a blaster from a library on a residential floor of the Imperial Palace when she realized the Palace had been infiltrated by Imperial agents bent on kidnapping the Solos; her intervention would prove crucial.

Interestingly enough, Corvis Minor featured a secret Imperial base which housed three squadrons of TIE Defenders, which were produced on site. Ysanne Isard took control of the facility in a plot to recover her Super Star Destroyer, Lusankya, using only fifty men. This means that the base would have required only 14 or so support staff, which implies that it was only a small facility.

Coular Peen IV

Coular Peen IV is located in the outer rim of the Syrom System. Anakin Skywalker traveled to Coular Peen IV in the early stages of the clone war.

Csilla

Csilla is the homeworld of the mysterious and reclusive Chiss and capital world of the Chiss Ascendancy. Csilla is a cold world of glaciers and snowy wastes located deep within Chiss Space, in the Unknown Regions of the galaxy. Glaciers cover the normally warm equatorial regions of the planet, while solid ice locked the poles in perpetual winter. In order to survive, the Chiss had to build energy-efficient warrens beneath the ice, as close to the geothermal warmth of the planet as possible. Underground travel routes connect the various underground sections of Csilla. The iceways were bored through the bedrock of the planet, so that they were unaffected by the shifting ice found on the planet's surface. Specialized carriages moved passengers and cargo through the tunnels. The planet's name is a Hungarian female given name. It originates from the word "csillag" meaning "star" in Hungarian.Example of female name is "Egri Csilla" Originally from Zauan, Romania.

Cularin

Cularin is a tropical planet in the Cularin System. It has two moons, the molten Rennokk and the barren Tilnes. It is the primary world that the Star Wars Roleplaying Game RPGA "Living Force" campaign centers around.

Cybloc

Cybloc is a greenish planet orbiting the star Erg Es 992 in the Meridian Sector. One of its moons, Cybloc XII, housed a New Republic trade base. However, the region was purged during the Death Seed incident.

Dagobah

Dagobah is the name of both a planet and the system in which it resides. The planet appears in the films The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. In Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Luke Skywalker is visited on the ice planet Hoth by the ghost of Obi-Wan Kenobi, who tells him to go seek Master Yoda on Dagobah to be trained as a Jedi. Dagobah has one sun. . Also the planet is shown in a deleted scene in Revenge of the Sith in which Yoda travels to Dagobah into exile after Order 66 was initiated.

After Darth Vader hunted down nearly all of the Jedi, Jedi Master Yoda went into hiding in a swamp on Dagobah. There, a cave strong with the dark side of the Force hid him from detection by the Emperor, much like Palpatine had used the dark side to shroud his presence from the Jedi Council. The cave first became imbued with the dark side when the last surviving Dark Jedi of the Bpfasshi insurrection fled to Dagobah with Jorj Car'das during the Clone Wars. Yoda somehow knew that the Dark Jedi would be in the cave, and made it there before him, and when the Dark Jedi arrived, fought him in a stupendous three-day-long Force battle. At the end of the battle, the Dark Jedi died, but the dark side residue remained in the cave, helping to shield Yoda's presence on Dagobah. The massive array and diversity of life forms present on Dagobah also aided Yoda to avoid capture.

Damonite Yors-B

Damonite Yors-B is a cold, icy planet in the Meridian Sector that was a possible location of Princess Leia during her kidnapping nine years after the Battle of Endor.

Dankayo

Dankayo was a world used as a Rebel base between the Battle of Yavin and the Battle of Hoth. Imperial forces mutilated the planet's surface, turning it into a single vast terrain of molten lava. It was here that the Empire's Magma Trooper division was first used.

Dantooine

Dantooine was mentioned only once in the Star Wars films. In A New Hope, Princess Leia tries to fool Grand Moff Tarkin into believing that the Rebel base is located there. Tarkin replies that Dantooine is "too remote" to use the Death Star on (the deciding factor here seems to be a political and social impact rather than military necessity).

Dantooine was featured in both Knights of the Old Republic games. Dantooine is home to a Jedi enclave which was destroyed by Darth Malak during the Jedi Civil War; it was later rebuilt during the period of KotOR II.

In Star Wars: Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike, Dantooine is shown as a very wet world with perpetual rain which seems to have carved massive canyons and mesas.

Dantooine is also seen in Star Wars the Clone Wars cartoon series. It pictures Jedi Master Mace Windu fighting an army of Super Battle droids

The inhabitants of Dantooine are mostly farmers.

Danuta

A planet under the Empire, Danuta is where some of the Death Star plans were kept. Kyle Katarn was able to infiltrate the base, steal the plans and surrender them to the Rebel Alliance in the game Star Wars: Dark Forces. This led to the events of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and the destruction of the Death Star.

Da Soocha

Da Soocha is a planet in Hutt Space. One of its moons is Da Soocha V.

Dathomir

Dathomir is the planet on which Yoda's Jedi Academy ship, the Chu'unthor, crashed. The planet is covered in lush swamps and small trees. It is inhabited by wild rancors, as well as by Force-sensitive "witches" (divided into two groups, There are various light following clans over the entire planet, foremost of which is the Singing Mountain Clan. There are also the Nightsisters) who follow the dark side and are descendants of a Jedi Knight banished to the planet. Dathomir was first introduced in the book The Courtship of Princess Leia. It is thought that this planet is the home planet of the rancor.

It is also a planet which can be explored in the MMORPG: Star Wars Galaxies.

Demar

Demar is a mysterious planet home to exotic vegetation and deadly plants.

Denon

Denon is a planet with city growth covering the entire surface, similar to Coruscant. In terms of being an ecumenopolis, it is second to Coruscant. It was where Zam Wesell trained to become an assassin. Denon was also the temporary capital of the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances after losing Coruscant to the Yuuzhan Vong it is home to the jedi academy mandir.

Deralia

Deralia is the putative homeworld of Darth Revan in his fake biography, which gives the history of a Republic soldier. The planet's terrain is a vast expanse of fields and seas, as well as a number of scattered cities. Revan also may have gone there after the Jedi Civil War.

Derra IV

Derra IV is a minor planet, far from the Galactic Core. It was the site of a crushing ambush in which Imperial forces destroyed a vital Rebel convoy and its escorts on their way to Hoth, just days before the Battle of Hoth.

Despayre

A prison planet located in the Horuz system in the distant Outer Rim. This planet was the site of construction for the first Death Star. It is almost unknown therefore ensuring secrecy of its construction yards. The terrain consisted of green jungle, rivers, and shallows sea. The life there consisted of carnivorous crustaceans, poisonous plants, and deadly insects. Its only outpost was the penal colony at which many of the prisoners helped construct the Death Star. Once the battle station was complete it tested its super laser on that planet, therefore destroying it.

Destrillion

Destrillion is the sister planet of Dubrillion. It is located in the Outer Rim.In-between Dubrillion and its moon of near identical size is a small gas nebula. It was in this nebula there was a secret imperial research facility.In a secret mission for the Rebel Alliance, Wedge Antilles piloted an A-Wing starfighter into the Imperial installation, encountering the experimental TIE Hunter fighters.

Devaron

Devaron is the homeworld of the Devaronians.

Deyer

Deyer is an inhospitable world of the Anoat System. Kyp Durron, one of Luke Skywalker's apprentices, and his family originated from one of Deyer's colonies.

Distna

Disnta is a remote system where Ysanne Isard captures Rogue Squadron in an attempt to receive immunity for her crimes after the fall of the Galactic Empire and unleashing the Krytos virus. In exchange, she would supply fighters for the squadron for them to attempt to retake the Hegemony worlds from Admiral Delak Krennel and Isard's only clone.

Doldur

Doldur is the primary planet in the Doldur System, and is the sector capital of Doldur Sector.

Dorin

Dorin is a dark, dusty world and is the homeworld of the Kel Dor. Jedi Master Plo Koon comes from Dorin. The planet is located near two black holes, so not very many outsiders know much about it. Its atmosphere consists of carbon monoxide and helium. Dorin is home to many proud Kel Dor Jedi who later become a great part of Luke Skywalker's Jedi Council.

Dosk

Dosk was an industrial planet that was part of the Imperial Remnant in the Outer Rim. The planet had four moons that are also covered with shipyards and industrial complexes. The planet was administrated by a special Imperial Governor and protected by several Star Destroyers.

Although most of the industry on Dosk was run by droids, the few million people who lived on the planet had to live in specially built districts covered by domes to protect them from Dosk’s toxic atmosphere and near-continuous acid rainfall. All buildings on Dosk had to be built of incredibly strong metal to resist the degenerative effects of the atmosphere.

The planet’s atmosphere was made toxic after centuries of industrial development during the Old Republic, Galactic Empire, and eventually the Imperial Remnant. The planet was a major producer of weapons and ships for the Imperial Remnant, however, in the years prior to the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, the planet was operating at only around 15% capacity. This was mainly do to the fact that the Imperial Remnant did not have the ability to finance or purchase the products produced by the planet. Consequently, many of the planet’s industrial complexes were closed and production fell.

At the time of the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, much of the planet had been abandoned and, without proper maintenance, the buildings had begun to fall into ruin. The only operative areas were around the equatorial regions. When the Yuuzhan Vong attacked the Imperial Remnant, Dosk was attacked. The Yuuzhan Vong, having no use for the heavily toxified planet and seeing it as an abomination, propelled it into the star system's sun where it was destroyed.

Dosuun

Dosuun was home of an Imperial Remnant base commanded by Rax Joris – until the New Republic intercepted transmissions and sent a Jedi, Jaden Korr, to investigate. Korr killed (or gravely injured) Joris and alerted the New Republic, who arrived and mopped up the Remnant forces who survived Korr's attack.

Drall

Drall is a planet in the Corellian System. The planet is primarily inhabited by the species of the same name, the Drall; however there are also large numbers of humans and Selonians. One notable planetary feature (and tourist attraction) is the Boiling Seas.

There is a planetary repulsor on Drall, which was used millennia ago by an unknown race to move the planet into its current orbit around the star Corell.

Dromund Kaas

Dromund Kaas is a remote planet consisting of swamps and oceans. Having once been part of the great Sith Empire, it became one of the many lost planets that had been deleted from the Jedi Archives. A Sith temple was the main feature of the planet, and it was there that Kyle Katarn fell to the dark side, before being rescued by Mara Jade.

Dromund Kalakar

Dromund Kalakar is a gas giant in the Dromund system.

Drongar

Drongar is featured prominently in the Medstar Duology that takes place during the Clone Wars. The planet is covered by huge forests and swamps, the climate is characterized by common monsoons with devastating electrical storms, soaring temperatures, and humidity over 90%. There is a large atmospheric oxygen content, and the atmosphere is covered by layers of rapidly mutating deadly spores. Drongar was known only for the bota plant, which had varying effects in different species. The most notable of which being significant narcotic qualities when smoked or ingested by Hutts, or extraordinarily powerful antibiotic/painkilling effects for humans and some similar species. By the end of the second MedStar book however, bota had mutated into a useless and annoying fragile [...], causing both the Separatists and the Republican forces to abandon the planet after a climactic final battle over the last of the potent bota. The planet has two small moons, and is located in a system with three other planets.

Druckenwell

Druckenwell is a planet in Doldur Sector. It is best known for the BlasTech weapons manufacturing complex that is located there, as well as the Druckenwell Shipyard.

Dubrillion

Dubrillion is an Outer Rim world covered in lush green forests and deep blue seas. It orbits near its almost-identical sister planet Destrillion. During the Galactic Civil War, it was the testing ground for a secret Imperial superlaser, similar to the type of weaponry utilized on both Death Stars. As the experimental weapon fired on several Rebel forces, Rogue Squadron led by Wedge Antilles, managed to disable the accuracy relays of the superlaser, through the means of three Y-Wings. Antilles pushed forward in a captured Imperial AT-ST, later securing an AT-AT and destroying the installation. Neither world was permanently inhabited until Lando Calrissian established a mining operation within the system's asteroid field. Dubrillion became his base of operations, which quickly grew into a luxury city. The planet was one of the first to fall during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. New Republic forces arrived to help evacuate the planet. The Yuuzhan Vong later left the planet relatively intact.

Duro

Duro is home to the alien race of the same name. Duros are interested in exploration (some credit them with inventing the hyperdrive) and have ventured off their home world to explore the galaxy, leaving Duro in a state of ruin. The Empire ruined the planet's ecosystem and forced all the remaining Duros to move off the planet into orbiting city stations. The Empire also removed Duro from its own sector, placing it in the Corellian Sector, though the New Republic switched it back (it is sometimes still believed to be in the Corellian Sector). During the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, Duro became a refugee world, causing overcrowding in the orbital space stations. The Yuuzhan Vong overtook Duro, but the New Republic won it back during a series of raids prior to the Battle of Ebaq 9. Duro was once again lush after the Yuuzhan Vong 'Vongforming' efforts.

Neimoidians, such as Nute Gunray, are descendants of Duro colonists of Neimoidia.

Durren

Durren is a planet near the border between the Meridian and Antemeridian sectors that was home to a New Republic naval facility.

D'vouran

D'vouran was a top-secret Imperial project, the first experiment in Project Starscream. D'vouran was a living planet that consumed its victims through holes that appeared in the ground. A small crystal worn on a necklace was the only thing that prevented the wearer from being eaten by the planet.

D'vouran was destroyed when Zak and Tash Arranda threw the crystal necklace into the heart of the planet, which caused the planet to eat itself.

Aargau

Aargau is one of the Deep Core Worlds, and is the headquarters of the Bank of Aargau, which is owned by the Confederacy of Independent Systems' ally, the InterGalactic Banking Clan. Aargau is located in the Zug system.

The planet shares its name with Aargau, a Swiss canton near the banking capital of Switzerland, Zürich. Also, Zug is the name of another Swiss canton. It can be assumed that these names are a play on the fact that Switzerland has an inordinate number of banks.

Abregado-rae

Abregado-rae is a planet in the Abregado system. Its main port and administrative capital is Abregado-rae, and its economy is centered around manufacturing and trade. The planet is temperate, with rolling hills, lakes, and rivers. Rebel groups were known to use the hills for cover. Talon Karrde was also a known supplier and smuggler for these groups. The smuggling community maintains a rather large underground information network on the planet. Recently, a totalitarian government has modernized Abregado-rae but has demanded total obedience from its citizens. The planet is the home to the Gado species.

In one novel, Han Solo mentions that Abregado-rae was originally a poverty-stricken planet, but when a new governing council was elected, the capital city was cleaned up.

Acilaris

Acilaris is the closest planet to the twin suns Morasil and Termadus of the Cularin system. It could be easily mistaken for a large asteroid but is definitely a planet. Acilaris has enough gravity to maintain an atmosphere, which is comprised mainly of hydrogen with traces of sulfur, carbon and boron. Because of the planet's proximity to its suns, the surface temperature is extremely high, which prevents ships from landing on the planet's surface. It is for this reason that no one has set foot on Acilaris.

Sensor scans have revealed a variety of rare minerals and even some crystals on the planet. The presence of these minerals on other planets has meant a lack of interest in Acilaris, although it is rumored that one company has a contract with the droids of Uffel to produce some special droids that could withstand the surface temperature.

Adari

Adari, home to the Adarian race, is a planet covered in snow-capped volcanic mountains. Adari signed a non-aggression treaty with the Empire during the Galactic Civil War. In exchange for Adarian neutrality, the planet supplied large amounts of raw materials to the Empire.

Adega

Adega is another name for the planet Ossus of Adegan system. It was once a Jedi stronghold and a source of Adegan crystals, used in Jedi lightsabers. The planet is located in the Outer Rim, bordering the Cron Drift.

Adumar

Adumar, located near the edge of Wild Space, is a planet that was settled 10,000 years BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin) by a separatist group that was defeated by the Galactic Republic and banished. They were rediscovered eight years after the Battle of Endor by the New Republic. The world contains natural resources vital in the construction of proton torpedoes. General Wedge Antilles, Colonel Tycho Celchu, Major Wes Janson, and Major Derek "Hobbie" Klivian went on a diplomatic mission to Adumar to convince the world's leader to join the New Republic. While there, they discovered that the Empire also sent a group of pilots to secure military ties with Adumar. After a large space battle, the New Republic proved victorious, and Adumar, now under new leadership, chose to join the New Republic. The planet was subsequently bombarded by Imperial forces under Admiral Gilad Pellaeon.

Aeten II

Aeten II is located in the Outer Rim and plagued by volcanic activity, Aeten II is known for its deposite of rare stygium crystals, which are used in the construction of cloaking devices. Because stygium crystals are extremely valuable, a number of unscrupulos prospectors descended upon Aeten II, where they competed for the rare crystals with abandon. As a result, Aeten II became one of the most dangerous planets in the Outer Rim Territories. By the rise of the Empire, Aeten II's cache of crystals had been all but depleated, making the manufacture of new stygium-based cloaking devices a near impossibility. Prospector looking to retool old mining facilities here have since found other valuable resources to mine. Aeten II's only reference is to Star Wars is through Star Wars Empire at War

Aeeq

Aeeq (pronounced "ay eek") is a small, water-covered planet located not far from Naboo, and was home to the sentient Avareeq humanoids. The planet was mostly covered by a large ocean with a few small landmasses, volcanic islands, and innumerable archipelagoes. The cities of Aeeq either floated on the ocean or, specifically the cities of Assandra and Baaqibura, were built in shallow lagoons on stilts with canals being the main source of transportation. Most of the landmass was either used for farming, or was protected as a nature preserve. Avareeq made up most of the population with a significant minority having been humans. Aeeq was a constitutional monarchy headed by the jar-Addrass Dynasty, which ruled the planet since 1204 BBY. The capital and largest city of Aeeq, Baaqibura, was famous for its beautiful architecture and canals and was the home of the Monarch of Aeeq, who resided in the Tensic Palace near the center of the city.

During the years before the Clone Wars, Aeeq was a popular galactic tourist destination, as well as a major weapons manufacturing center, with most of the industrial complexes being on Aeeq's smallest moon, Sepha. During the Trade Federation blockade of Naboo, a squadron of the Royal Aeeqi Air Defense Corps (RAAD) volunteered to aid the Naboo fighters in their attack of the Trade Federation Droid Control Ship, Profiteer. However, the squadron never made it to Naboo and was never seen again. During the Clone Wars, Aeeq remained loyal to the Republic and was the sight of small battle between Republic and Separatist forces just prior to the Battle of Coruscant. During the time of the Empire, Aeeq was a sympathizer for the Rebel Alliance and it was this disloyalty that incurred the wrath of Emperor Palpatine. When the connections between the Rebel Alliance and the jar-Addrass Dynasty were revealed, Palpatine arranged the assassination of King Bokassa jar-Addrass and released a plague onto the planet that wiped out the population.

Af'El

Af'El is the homeworld to the Defel. It is a high-gravity planet with no ozone layer and orbits the ultraviolet supergiant Ka'Dedus. Because of the lack of ozone, ultraviolet light passes freely to the surface, while other light wavelengths are blocked by the heavy gases in the planet's atmosphere. Thus, all life forms on Af'El can only see in ultraviolet light ranges, and are blind to other wavelengths of light.

Agamar

Agamar is an agricultural world in the Outer Rim. The planet was the site of two battles during the Clone Wars, and was also the home of Rebel pilot Keyan Farlander. Agamar long remained in Imperial hands, however the planet had joined the New Republic by the time of the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. During the war, many refugees passed through Agamar, but the world was later overrun by the Yuuzhan Vong prior to their invasion of Ithor.

Aikhibba

Aikhibba is the home of the crime lord Spadda the Hutt and a minor stopping point for smugglers on the Gamor Run.

Alba

Alba (or Alba-16) is a minor planet, mentioned in Jedi Apprentice book #3. "Alba was a world in the midst of a bloody, chaotic civil war."Also Jadda had a relationship with Spadda the Hutt resulting in Spadda becoming a crime lord

Alderaan

Alderaan, seen in Episode III briefly at the end and IV from outer space, is the home of Princess Leia Organa, Bail Organa, and also, in 4000 BBY, Ulic Qel-Droma, who fought in the Great Sith War. Its name is actually an archaic and disused astronomical name (see Alderaan (real)). Alderaan was known for its peaceful and nature-conscious citizens and vibrant, melodic culture. The planet's citizens had no weapons, and space pilots had to have port authorities hold theirs while they were on the planet. Despite the fact that they had a planetary shield system, Alderaan was destroyed by the Death Star in 0 BBY. The planet was similar to Chandrila and Naboo, and also resembled Earth. Animals native to Alderaan included the nerf and the thranta, examples of which still survive on other planets.

Almania

Almania is an obscure planet in the far reaches of the Outer Rim whose population was destroyed by droids in whom were implanted explosive devices by the Dark Jedi Brakiss at the behest of Kueller.

Almas

Almas is a terraformed planet in the Cularin system. Its moon Dorumaa is also a terraformed satellite. Almas is the site of an ancient Sith fortress established by Darth Rivan.

Alpheridies

Alpheridies is the homeworld of the Miraluka people. They migrated there after their original homeworld became unstable and began losing its atmosphere into space. The planet's infra-red sun caused them to lose their sight over thousands of generations, encouraging instead their ability to see though the Force. At some point, the Miraluka colonized other planets, including Katarr. Alpheridies on Wookieepedia

Altyr 5

Altyr 5 is a rocky, cliff-riddled planet in the Altyr system. A fierce battle of the Clone Wars took place on the planet a number of years before a New Republic base was erected. Five years after the defeat of Jerec, Kyle Katarn and Mara Jade were stationed at the base when Imperial Remnant forces attacked.

Alzoc III

Alzoc III iis a frozen planet in the Alzoc system in the Outer Rim, the moonless planet is covered with desolate, frozen plains, and its powerful sun glares harshly off the reflective snow. Wildlife on Alzoc III is almost nonexistent with only snow slugs and the Talz readily visible on the planet's surface. The Talz are the only sentient species on the planet and are native to Alzoc III. They conduct mining operations underground with exports such as the valuable Alzoc Pearl. Talz mining operations have proven to be a profitable source of income.

Ambria

Ambria is a desert world in Stenness Node, tainted by a strong dark side influence. Herds of staga and flocks of neeks, as well as strange creatures inhabiting Lake Natth, roam the plains of Ambria. Four thousand years before the Battle of Yavin, the great Jedi Master Thon, a Tchuukthai Jedi, lived on Ambria.

Amelico

Amelico is a sparsely inhabited planet located in the star system of the same name. The planet is the homeworld of the Satarin, a very mystical and enigmatic race of beings known to be extremely Force-sensitive and live very long lives. The planet is also home to a small number of human settlers, who seeking a more simple and peaceful life, settled among the Satarin. The Satarin control the planet and hold an aversion for war, although they are quite capable of defending their planet, holding the same abilities as Jedi. Amelico is a neutral planet that does not belong to any government. In fact, the planet itself is a sort of free society with few laws. Although not the official capital, the largest ‘city’ on Amelico is Turras.

Amelico was discovered by an expedition of explorers (led by Tyvo Darg, a famous explorer) in the early days of the Republic. The Satarin, already having knowledge of the galaxy through the Force, welcomed the explorers. Tyvo Darg attempted to convince the Satarin to join the Republic, but they cordially refused. The Satarin also turned down offers to open up areas of the planet for mining, trade, and colonization (they did not, however, refuse to allow settlers).

Darg, frustrated by the Satarin refusal to join the galactic community, attempted to take control of the planet with the troops the Republic had sent with him to protect the mission. The Satarin, revealing their knowledge and mastery of the Force, quickly stopped the attack and forcefully expelled the expedition from the planet. Several millennia passed before the Republic attempted contact with Amelico. Five hundred years before the Battle of Yavin, the Republic sent an ambassador to meet with the Satarin. The ambassador, much to his surprise, was met with welcome by the Satarin. The Satarin agreed to open diplomatic relations with the Republic, which subsequently established an embassy in the city of Turras. A small number of human colonists traveled to the planet to seek a more peaceful and simple life and lived among the Satarin. These humans eventually became known as Amelicans.

During the Clone Wars, Amelico remained staunchly neutral, refusing to aid either side. A Separatist attack force attempted to take control of the planet during the early stages of the wars. During the Battle of Amelico, the Satarin, seeing the futility of maintaining neutrality, used the Force to destroy the Separatist ships. Afterward, the Satarin closed the planet completely, using their abilities to create an impregnable Force barrier around the planet.

Emperor Palpatine, threatened by the Satarin in much the same way as he felt he was by the Sharu in the Rafa System, had planned to use the Death Star to destroy the planet and the Satarin after he had won the Battle of Yavin. However, the Death Star was destroyed at Yavin and the attack was impossible. He had to resort to posting a small monitoring fleet on the outskirts of the system to monitor the planet.

During the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, the invaders tried unsuccessfully many times to penetrate the Force barrier around the planet, even resorting to hurling one of Amelico’s moons toward the planet (which was also unsuccessful). Finally, they abandoned the attack and moved on.

Ammuud

Ammuud is a planet governed by seven feudal clans that lies under the umbrella of the Corporate Sector Authority. Prior to the Authority's annexation of the planet, the clans had been warring with each other for some 10,000 years. Ammuud is heavily forested, with large oceans and two immense ice caps.

Ampliquen

Ampliquen, in Meridian Sector, is one of the few planets in that sector to have an independent civilization. It maintained an uneasy truce with Budpock until Seti Ashgad incited pirates to attack Ampliquen and break the truce. This was done in order to draw New Republic forces away from Durren and Nam Chorios, as part of Dzym's plans to take over the galaxy.

Anaxes

A Core World, also known as the Defender of the Core, Anaxes has enjoyed naval prestige for millennia. Among Anaxes's plains, mountains, and forests sits a large establishment called the Anaxes Citadel. The citadel is a massive complex of training schools, research labs, intelligence centers, offices, archives, and parade grounds. The people of Anaxes refer to themselves as Anaxsi and carry much pride in their naval history. The terraced hills abouve the citadel are dotted with estates held by families that may not be Old Anaxsi, but whose names are synonymos with naval service. The people of Anaxes fully support the Imperial Navy and will not tolerate dissent. Anaxes is also the homeworld of Tyber Zann, a crimelord who fought both Empire and Rebellion forces but managed to survive beyond the civil war. His main base of operations was situated on Ryloth until his most trusted friend Urai Fenn, a member of the long forgotten Talortai race (he is the only known Talortion left existence), moved this base to Kamino.

The world has been associated with the Azure Imperium, the Galactic Republic, the Galactic Empire, and the New Republic.

Ando

Located in the Mid Rim, Ando is home to the aquatic Aqualish. Ando is an ocean world orbited by two moons. Ninety-five percent of the surface is covered in water, and what little land remains is complemented by Aqualish sailing ships used as mobile homes. Once the Aqualish discovered space travel, they explored Ando's sister world, though a series of inter-species wars left it decimated and barren.

Ando Prime

Ando Prime is an icy, mountainous planet that hosts many podraces. It is featured primarily in the video game Star Wars: Episode I Racer. As well, in Attack of the Clones, the planet can be seen briefly on a viewscreen in the nightclub. The inhabitants of Ando Prime have a culture similar to that of Tibet. In the Episode I Racer game, Ando Prime is home to the Beedo's Wild Ride, Howler Gorge, Andobi Mountain Run and Ando Prime Centrum podraces.

Anoat

Anoat is a planet that lies in the Anoat system. The star system lies between the Hoth and Bespin systems. The Millennium Falcon passed through the relatively deserted system while escaping from the Empire. Toxic waste infected Anoat and the terraformed planet Deyer, forcing the populations to move offworld. In the game Star Wars: Dark Forces, Kyle Katarn is sent to Anoat to investigate a lead in the Dark Trooper project. It appears that it has become home to many Dianogas.

Anoth

Anoth is the planet where Jacen, Jaina and Anakin Solo spent their early vulnerable years of childhood. The planet consisted of three separate parts, two of which were close enough to scrape each other and the third which orbited a safe distance away. It was on this third fragment where the children were kept.

Ansion

Ansion is the planet which Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker visited to settle a border dispute just prior to Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones (22 BBY). There were rumors that Ansion would withdraw from the Galactic Republic and join the increasing Separatist movement, and the Jedi were sent to deal with this problem.

Ansion is covered in grasslands which have a huge variety of wildlife, including the kyren and the suubatar. Two main groups of Ansionians inhabit the planet: the city-dwelling people and their nomadic brethren the Alwari. The small Gwurran are another race encountered who live primitively off of the land.

Antar

Antar is a gas giant which has six moons orbiting it. The fourth moon, Antar 4, is home to the Gotal race.

Anteevy

Anteevy is a frigid ice world home to an Imperial construction facility. It was home to the production of second-stage Dark Troopers before Kyle Katarn infiltrated the base and destroyed it (as seen in the video game Star Wars: Dark Forces). Forty-five years after the battle of Yavin 4, the New Republic made a Jedi temple on this planet, yet in about fifteen years, the Sith would totally destroy the planet with their bombers and leave the planet a wasteland of complete extinction.

Apatros

Apatros is a world in the Outer Rim Territories. It is a moon-sized world with a thin atmosphere and only native plant life, and orbited a dim orange star. It was orbited by a small moon. Its single settlement had the same name as the planet, and was a kilometer-square, containing mostly single-story prefabricated buildings.

Around 1,002 BBY, it was a Galactic Republic world and was the site of a cortosis mine run by the Outer Rim Oreworks Company.

It was also the home planet of Darth Bane.

Aquilaris

Aquilaris is a watery planet filled with sunken cities. Only floating city islands are found above sea level, something like Mon Calamari. Podraces here include the Aquilaris Classic, Sunken City and Bumpy's Breakers.

Arabanth

Arabanth is a Hapan world that holds pride in a series of "thought puzzles", one of which is seen during the Hapan gift ceremony on Coruscant.

Aram

Aram is a high-gravity, tropical planet that is the homeworld of the Aramandi. It is part of the Aramand Cluster in Brak Sector, and is orbited by a single moon. It should be noted that the name "Aram" could have influence from another Science Fiction Novel; Lord of Light.

Arbra

Arbra is a small tropical planet that served as a Rebel base after the Battle of Hoth. The Rebels called it "Salvation", since they were lucky to have found it. Forests cover most of the planetary surface, growing up the sides of immense mountains and inside the deep valleys. Arbra is inhabited by Hoojibs, who are small, telepathic sentients. They allowed the Rebels to build a base on the planet after Rebel troops helped them defeat the Slivilith, a creature that posed a threat to the Hoojibs.

The Rebel base on Arbra was built in a deep cave, which the Hoojibs lived in. The Rebels tapped into a series of crystalline power rods that provided geothermal energy directly from Arbra's core. The co-ordinates of Arbra were only given to the Rebels' most trusted operatives, to ensure that the Empire did not discover the base. When the Empire collapsed after the Battle of Endor, most of the Rebels relocated to Endor, though the Hoojibs remained proud members of the Alliance of Free Planets.

Arda-2

Arda-2 is a small industrial world, found in the Outer Rim. It is the source of T-6 diodems, which are used in starfighter targeting controls.

Aridus

Aridus is a desert planet located in the Flarestar System. Lava pits scorch the surface, causing temperatures to rise in the hundreds by day. The ironized atmosphere also affects the temperature and mechanical devices. The planet is inhabited by the Chubbits, a small lizard-like species. The Chubbits have always been neutral in Galactic affairs, avoiding the Clone Wars and the rise of the Empire. However, with many valuable resources under the planet's surface, it could not avoid attention forever. When the Empire discovered the seemingly-endless amount of resources, Imperial mining teams rushed to exploit them. This wrecked havoc on the native Chubbits, who, with the assistanse of the Rebel Alliance, forced the Empire to leave. Aridus later joined the New Republic in thanks for assistance against the Empire. Aridius also acts as a galactic prison.

Arkania

Arkania is a tundra world in the Colonies region. It is covered by diamond pits where miners extract melon-sized gems from the planet's crust. Jedi Master Arca Jeth established a Jedi training outpost in the wilderness of Arkania some 4,000 years BBY. Centuries ago, the scientifically-minded Arkanians began cyber-enhancing the brains of their primitive neighbors, the Yaka. Soon the stocky Yaka were one of the most intelligent and quick-minded species in the galaxy, with a bizarre sense of humor to match. Animal life on the planet includes the Arkanian dragon and the Arkanian jellyfish.

Artus Prime

Artus Prime is the location of an Imperial mine. The crystals mined there, used in conjunction with the well of Force power in the Valley of the Jedi, were able to infuse Imperial soldiers with Force abilities. It was for this reason that the Dark Jedi Desann led the Imperial Remnant to take control of the planet as a part of his Shadowtrooper project. Desann had the miner colonists of Artus Prime used as part of his experimentation at his research outpost on the planet Kejim. There, scientists perfected the shadow armour invented by Admiral Galak Fyyar.

Mon Mothma dispatched New Republic mercenaries Kyle Katarn and Jan Ors to Artus Prime to ascertain the fate of the colony. Once they discovered the Imperial occupation, the Republic fleet was called in and the planet resecured. This represents a turning point in the plot of Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, when Jan Ors is captured and apparently killed by Tavion.

Aruza

Aruza, inhabited by the Aruzans, is a peaceful world orbited by five moons. The planet was also the home of COMPNOR General Sinick Kritkeen during the period of its subjugation by the Empire.

Ator

A Core World, Ator is where Cliegg Lars went during his youth. There, he married a woman named Aika, and they had a son, Owen Lars. Aika died a few years later, and Cliegg returned to Tatooine with his son.

Axum

Axum is a temperate world located in the Axum system. It is more industrialized but less prestigious than its sister planet Anaxes. In the millennia preceding the Old Republic, Axum was the headquarters of the Azure Imperium, an important political institution.

Axxila

A planet of the Outer Rim, Axxila has been described as Coruscant, only "inside-out". Imperial Admiral Firmus Piett was from Axxila.

The name "Axxila" is a pun on the anatomical term "axilla", or armpit.

Ayrondof

A small planet in the Outer Rim. Inhabited by the Ayrons, they discovered Ayrondof while on a trip to Axxila, from Naboo. There are only around 1000 inhabitants living on the planet.

Azbrian

Azbrian is an agricultural world, dotted with farms that raise black-and-white eight-legged beasts. One such farm is owned by Condren Foreck, a potential suitor to Lando Calrissian.

Bakura

Bakura is a small, pastoral planet on the outskirts of known space, just outside Moddell Sector. Bakura was the site of the truce between the Galactic Empire and the New Republic. Bakura was also the site of the Battle of Bakura against the reptilian Ssi-Ruuk which used the life essences of their human captives to power their war machines.

During the war with the Yuuzhan Vong, the Ssi-ruuvi Imperium attempted to assimilate Bakura through deceit. The timely rebellion by the Ssi-Ruuvi servants the P'w'ecks saved the day, but it was merely a plot by the Vong to defeat the Ssi-Ruuk.

Bakura's only native sentient species is the Kurtzen, although its most populous sentient species is human. They are also known for their repulsorlift industry, though the people are quite distrustful of droids.

In the game Star Wars Rogue Squadron III, Wedge Antilles led a strike force to Bakura that freed Rebel prisoners from the Battle of Hoth.

Bakura manufactures some of the Galactic Empire's Star Destroyers. Bakura is prominently featured in the Kathy Tyers novel The Truce at Bakura. It is also a planet Jaden Korr visits in Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy.

Bal'demnic

A planet of stark and rugged beauty, Bal'demnic is located in the Auril sector of the Outer Rim, in the Bak'rofsen system. With its sea-covered surface speckled with small tropical beach islands, it could have been the most desired tourist location in the galaxy. However, a tourist trade can hardly co-exist with a native noisome reptilian species known as the Kon'me. The sentient Kon'me lived in simple thatch beachside dwellings, though the upper classes built glistening bubble-like structures within the ocean-side cliffs.

Bal'demnic was largely undisturbed by matters of galactic consequence, until Commerce Guild scouts from the Confederacy of Independent Systems discovered traces of cortosis in the planet's cliffs.

Upon reaching Bal'demnic, the CIS delivered an ultimatum to the natives: let mining operations begin, or be destroyed. With little choice, Bal'demnic's leaders reluctantly allowed the Commerce Guild mining operations to set foot on the islands. The beachfront citizens however, were furious and pockets of rebellion emerged

When CIS transmissions were intercepted by the Jedi, Mace Windu was concerned -- cortosis is a rare ore that is resistant to the blade of a lightsaber. The Jedi Council dispatched a task force including Halagad Ventor, Sha Koon, and several other Jedi, and a backup detachment of clones to investigate and sabotage the CIS operation.

When the Jedi arrived on Bal'demnic, the planet was in chaos. The Kon'me had rebelled against the CIS and attacked with powerful weapons smuggled to them by unscrupulous war profiteers. After clones landed, the furious Kon'me were further enraged, and opened fire on all off-worlders.

The difficulty of the island terrain forced both the CIS and the Republic to retreat. With the CIS no longer actively harvesting the cortosis, the Republic left an orbital protective fleet to guard against further Separatist incursions on the planet.

Balmorra

Balmorra is a rocky, barren planet with many canyons in the Core region of the galaxy. The Galactic Empire used this planet as the site for many of its factories supplying AT-AT and AT-ST walkers as well as TIE fighters, mostly hidden within the canyons of the planet. Because of the heavy industry, the planet has been heavily polluted and the sky is thick with smog and pollution. This planet is featured in the video game Star Wars: Rogue Squadron.

After the death of the Emperor at the Battle of Endor, Balmorra revolted successfully, but when the Reborn Emperor launched his initial offenses during the events of the Dark Empire saga, Balmorra fell again under the Imperial fist. After the Emperor's second death, Balmorra revolted a second time, whereupon it was attacked by Military Executor Sedriss; Sedriss lost the battle as even his shadow droids could not defeat the new battle droids the Balmorrans had developed, the SD-10 battle droids and the new X-1 Viper Automadons. In exchange for the droids, Sedriss signed a peace treaty with Balmorra, granting it independence.

Bandomeer

Bandomeer is in the first two books of the Jedi Apprentice series by Jude Watson and Dave Wolverton. If a Jedi learner isn't chosen to be a Padawan by the age of 13, they will be excluded from all further training and sent to Bandomeer to work with the AgriCorps and grow crops. There are also several mining guilds on the planet. Offworld Corporation is one of the more corrupt organizations with operations on the world.

On Bandomeer, Qui-Gon Jinn's former apprentice, Xanatos, attempts to take revenge on him, but fails. Obi-Wan Kenobi is sent to Bandomeer, but is captured by mine lords. There, he is enslaved to work on mines and meets a friend who helps him escape. Bandomeer has vast traces of valuable ionite, which scrambles electronic fields. As well, Bandomeer has a large ocean which covers about half the planet.

Barab I

Barab I is a planet that was home to the Barabel people, including Jedi Knight Saba Sebatyne and her all-Jedi Wild Knights squadron. During daylight hours, the planet's dim red star gave off such radiation that most living creatures, including the Barabels, were forced to take shelter in underground tunnels or caverns. Only at night was it safe to venture out onto the surface. Barab I was under the rule of the Empire until it was liberated by the New Republic. The planet, along with its inhabitants, was destroyed in the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. The Jedi Knight Saba Sebatyne was responsible for the deaths of the last of the Barabels. She destroyed a Slaveship that was taking the prisoners from Barab I.

Baralou

Baralou is a planet in the Baralou system, home to a the List of Star Wars races (K-O)#Krikthasi and Multopos races, the Treppok and Grotseth creatures, and inhabited by humans. The planet is mainly ocean, with rocky and tropical islands; much of the food for the Rebel Alliance comes from the planet's algae.

Barkhesh

Barkhesh is a tropical sparsely populated planet in the Mid Rim, which is home to a Rebel Alliance supply base because of it's many resources. In the video game Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, the player, Luke, is required to escort some Rebel cargo craft through the planet's canyons to a rendezvous point, because the Empire has set up a base on the other side of the canyons.

Baroonda

Baroonda is a tropical world that was home to several podraces. It features wide, sandy beaches, spectacular waterfalls, thick jungles, and numerous volcanoes. Podrace tracks on this world include Baroo Coast, Grabvine Gateway, Fire Mountain Rally and Inferno.

Bastion

Bastion is the current capital world of the Imperial Remnant, and the sector capital for the far-flung Braxant Sector in the Outer Rim Territories. "Bastion" was originally a codename for the Imperial capital as it was moved repeatedly as the Imperials were forced to retreat again and again during the Galactic Civil War. The original name for the planet now known as Bastion seems to have been largely forgotten, although it lies in the Sartinaynian system.

Bastion is a planet with varied climates, much like Earth in reality, and is said to be a fairly pleasant world, one of the few in Imperial space with amenities comparable to Coruscant. It is also, however, a heavily defended position, or "fortress world" as the Empire called such positions in the late stages of the Galactic Civil War. In addition to planetary deflector shield generators, Bastion is the home port of the Braxant Sector Fleet, which contains a number of well-known Star Destroyers.

During the war with the Yuuzhan Vong, the Imperial forces defending Bastion were heavily damaged and forced to retreat. In the ensuing chaos, the capital city of Bastion, and the Remnant itself, was burned to the ground by Yuuzhan Vong orbital strikes. Rebuilding efforts are still underway, and the loss of life was great, but when compared to the absolute devastation of worlds such as Myrkr, Bastion was fortunate.

Due to Bastion's destruction, the Empire was forced to see that to remain independent from the rest of the Galaxy was foolish. The Empire joined the Galactic Alliance after their victory over the Vong at the Battle of Borosk.

Bastion was later turned into the most heavily fortified planet in the galaxy. After the sith (led by Darth Krayt) maneuvered the Imperial Remnant into declaring war on a weakened Galactic Alliance (with ended with the Remnant recapturing Coruscant), they tried to take the Imperial throne. But the emperor Roan Fel anticipated this, and after avoiding the sith for seven years, retook Bastion, knowing the sith would not risk a frontal assault on the heavily fortified planet.

Belasco

Belasco is the homeworld of Senator Uta S'orn, the childhood friend of Jenna Zan Arbor. A wealthy planet with a rigid class system, Belasco was once ruled by a royal family, but now a Leader is elected who then appoints his own Council. The capital city is Senta, where the old royal grounds are also located. Every seven years, a naturally-occurring bacteria invades the planet's water supply from the Great Sea, and the Belascans prepare for this by stockpiling water.

Belgaroth

Belgaroth is a planet in the Core Worlds that is covered in toxic waste dumps, junkyards, and scrap yards. The planet was chosen as a proving ground for Imperial weapons, but the residents didn't care, as it meant money and jobs. When the New Republic took control of the planet, the residents were just as happy with their rule as they were with the Imperials' rule.

Belkadan

Belkadan is the location of the outpost of ExGal-4. It was located in the Dalonbian Sector in the far Outer Rim. Yomin Carr, a Yuuzhan Vong warrior, spent time on Belkadan studying the galaxy to prepare for the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. The planet was once tropical, but Yomin Carr used a colony of dweebits to alter the planet drastically so that it could be used to grow yorik coral for the Yuuzhan Vong.

Bellassa

Bellassa is a thriving peaceful world. The capital is Ussa, a pleasant city with seven large tranquil lakes. Obi-Wan Kenobi goes to Bellassa after learning on Tatooine that one former Jedi, Ferus Olin, survived the Great Jedi Purge.

Berchest

Berchest is best known for its "City of Glowing Crystal" (Calius saj Leeloo), made from natural formations of red-orange salt deposits along the coast of the Leefari Sea. After the Battle of Endor, Berchest remained under Imperial control and Grand Admiral Thrawn, who threw off Luke Skywalker with false leads that Thrawn was massing his armies of clone troopers there. During his investigation, Skywalker encountered Talon Karrde for the second time.

Bespin

Bespin, seen in Episodes V and VI, is the planet over which Cloud City hovers by means of an antigravity pod. Bespin is a major source of tibanna gas, which is refined for production and transport in Cloud City. It is home to six million individuals, including humans and Ugnaughts.

Bestine IV

Bestine IV, a planet in the Bestine system of the Inner Rim, Bestine IV is a temperate planet with many rocky islands among its vast oceanic landscape. Weather on Bestine IV is generally known to be mild with occasional hurricanes sweeping across the planet's surface. The planet's population has struggled for years to establish their settlements atop the planet's island spires to create an island paradise. More recently the planet has become increasingly attractive due to Bestine's small but growing ship repair and construction industry, which can be credited to the planet's unique oceanic-based shipyards that are designed primarily to quickly produce frigate-sized vessels. Bestine IV is also home to Jek Porkins and Zev Senesca and home to a large Imperial Base.

Bimmiel

Bimmiel was originally reported by Imperial scouts as being a temperate world of grassy plains and cool deserts. However, it was later learned that the scouts had come during the planet's closest pass to its sun, and that Bimmiel actually had a highly elliptical orbit which froze the planet when it was at its furthest from the sun. It was also discovered that the Yuuzhan Vong had established a spy post on Bimmiel some five decades previously.

Bimmisaari

Bimmisaari, the capital world of Halla Sector, is the homeworld of the Bimm. After long negotiations, Bimmisaari eventually dropped their neutrality and joined the New Republic.

Blenjeel

Blenjeel is a hazardous, uninhabited planet populated with giant carnivorous sand worms. As a Padawan, Jaden Korr went to Blenjeel to investigate the crash-landing of a merchant ship.

Bogden

Bogden is an uninhabitable world with several moons, one of which is home to the headquarters of the death-obsessed cult, the Bando Gora (Kohima - the "moon of the dead"). It is on this moon where Count Dooku (under the name Darth Tyranus) recruited Jango Fett to assassinate Komari Vosa in a test to ensure he was suitable template for the republic army's cloning subject. The entire Bogden system is overrun by criminal fugitives and smugglers. Bogden's moon is, as the name implies, a swampy, boggy, mucky terrained world. It was first featured in the animated-series Star Wars: Droids and also expanded on later in the video game Star Wars: Bounty Hunter.

Bonadan

Bonadan is a planet that has long been one of the Outer Rim Corporate Sector Authority's most important factory worlds and busiest ports. Bonadan is a parched yellow sphere crisscrossed by rust stripes because of heavy soil erosion. Bonadan industry has thrived at the expense of ecology, because any plant life on the surface that wasn't intentionally destroyed has disappeared due to overmining, pollution, and neglect. A densely populated planet, Bonadan houses many setinent species from all over the galaxy. The world is covered with factories, refineries, docks, and shipbuilding facilities in ten spaceports. Bonadan's diverse economy is considered the most lucrative of any planet in the Corporate Sector.

Borleias

Borleias is the fourth planet of the Pyria system, and is also known by the Rebel Alliance codename "Blackmoon". Due to its proximity to the Core Worlds, the Alliance took this planet as a step towards the capital world of Coruscant. The Alderaan Biotics facility, which initially grew Alderaanian foodstuffs and which was later used to produce the Krytos virus, was also based on Borleias.

During the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, Borleias fell and was used as a staging point for the assault on Coruscant. During the retreat from Coruscant, forces under the command of General Wedge Antilles captured the world for a second time.

Bothawui

Bothawui is a cosmopolitan planet serving as the homeworld of the Bothan race, as well as being a major hub for information trafficking. The Bothan spy network is widely seen as the best in the galaxy, and much of the information it carries goes through Bothawui at some point. The Imperial name for the planet was Bothawui Proper. Bothawui is in the center of Bothan Space.

Boz Pity

Boz Pity is a cemetery world, and was the setting for one of the Outer Rim Sieges near the end of the Clone Wars. The planet has been described as being bleak and grisly. The planet was occupied by the Bozans over 4000 years before the Battle of Yavin. Jedi Master Quinlan Vos moved his clone troops to Boz Pity during the Sieges. Shortly afterwards, the planet was the site of a massive battle between the Jedi and General Grievous. Obi-Wan Kenobi discovered Asajj Ventress barely alive in a bacta tank inside a Separatist medical facility hidden on the planet. Ventress nearly died in the battle, but Kenobi refused to give in to his own dark feelings and allowed her to live—only so she could escape capture and disappear. Jedi Masters Baytes and Adi Gallia met their ends here due to General Grievous' extra arms. Shortly after Adi's defeat, Mace Windu used the force to crash a STAP on top of the General. However Grievous' bodygaurds saved him and got him off planet and repaired. "He cost too much to go to waste." -Count Dooku upon seeing the wounded General.

Bpfassh

Bpfassh is a planet in Sluis Sector. The inhabitants are noted for their extreme suspicion of Jedi—before the Clone Wars, a large group of Bpfasshi Jedi fell to the dark side and rampaged throughout the planet and sector. They would eventually be defeated by a large Jedi Order taskforce which included the respected Jedi Master Jorus C'Baoth (not to be confused with the clone Joruus C'Baoth). The last surviving Bpfasshi Dark Jedi commandeered the smuggler kingpin Jorj Car'das' ship and fled to Dagobah, where he was defeated by Jedi Master Yoda. His final resting place became the cave permeated with the dark side where Luke Skywalker had a vision in The Empire Strikes Back.

Brachnis Chorios

Brachnis Chorios is a cold, greenish-lavender planet on the outer edge of the Chorios Systems, far from the triple stars and deep within Meridian Sector. Although fairly unpopulated, the world's largest moon was designated as a meeting place between Leia Organa Solo and Seti Ashgad just prior to the Death Seed plague outbreak.

Breasgrapes

Breasgrapes is a Core World that sits upon the intersection of the Perlemian Trade Route and the Hydian Way. Because they lie at the intersection of these two major trade routes, its economy centers around trade and business. All of its 65 billion inhabitants live in the narrow valleys across the planet.

Brigia

Brigia is a planet in the Outer Rim, once home to a Rebel base. The planet was abandoned by the Rebellion when they suspected (correctly) that the Empire was going to attack it. It appears only briefly, during the computer game Star Wars: X-Wing.

Budpock

Budpock is a New Republic-aligned planet in Meridian Sector. However, the world is also a haven for pirate gangs. Many of these groups were incited by Dzym to attack neighboring Ampliquen, thus breaking the fragile truce between the two worlds.

Byss

There were two planets known as Byss in the Star Wars universe.

The first Byss appeared in the Dark Horse Comics series Dark Empire as a Deep Core world located very near the center of the galaxy. It was a dark clouded planet, with a nearly inhospitable and turbulent atmosphere. It was also very strong in the dark side of the Force, having been a place where ancient Sith artifacts were stored. Palpatine invited millions of people to the planet, tricking them into thinking it was a paradise worth visiting. Once the people arrived, he enslaved them and tapped into their life energies, making the planet even stronger in the dark side. It later became the reborn Emperor's throne world where a massive city of towers was constructed on the surface. It was surrounded by enormous orbital shipyards where the Super Star Destroyers Eclipse I and II were built along with the rest the Emperor's reborn star fleet. Byss was destroyed when R2-D2 reprogrammed the Eclipse II and sent it colliding into the Galaxy Gun. In the confusion, the Galaxy Gun accidentally launched one of its planet-destroying missiles right into Byss, annihilating the planet.

The second Byss is the homeworld of the Abyssin species. An arid planet in the Outer Rim, it orbits in a figure-eight pattern around the Byss/Abyss binary star system.

Dual pipelining was introduced in the Intel Pentium processor. This technology allows the processor to break down a command into two shorter commands and execute them simultaneously when it receives a long command. If there are separate tasks that must be completed for a result that are independent of one another, they can be executed simultaneously to save time.

Here is an example. Suppose a command is given to find the result of 14 * 27 + 512^2. The order of operations requires that 512^2 must be done first and then 14 and 27 must be multiplied. The result of those two actions would then be added together. This takes three steps. With dual pipelining, the first two actions would be computed simultaneously by different pipelines and then those would be added together. This case takes only two steps, saving one step. In a more complex command, many more steps can be saved.
