Sourcingizer, is the combined term of "Sourcing" and "Trade Show Organizer."
Happening in the B2B market, particularly in the Greater China region, the changing overseas buyer experience has developed over the years from visiting physical booths in the trade show to the searching on the world wide web. The activity of searching for product and material is generally referred as "Sourcing" and is the primary business activity for a buyer.
China, as the world factory for almost every commodity, has the amazing growth of its low-cost manufacturing capability over the years, which also triggers the increasing demand of overseas buyers rush into China to look for good products. The development of online sourcing portals facilitates the buying process, which allows primarily the overseas buyers to search for suitable products and possibly to purchase over the Internet.
The continuous business expansion of the online sourcing portals enables the Internet players to acquire physical trade shows operation and to build an integrated B2B media which combines both online and offline channels to provide one-stop sourcing services.
The convergence of the online and offline B2B media makes perfect sense from the buyer perspective in terms of usability and user experience. Because the perpetual product cycle of Internet portal adds value to the physical trade show that generally be lasted for 2 to 4 days, now the buyers are able to do pre-sourcing over the Internet and meet the sellers in the trade show.
