Adam Schleichkorn, 25, of Huntington, New York, and a graduate student at the C.W. Post, Long Island University, made National News for creating the internet fad know as Fence Plowing.
Fence Plowing is the act of running full speed into a fence, with the intention of knocking it over or breaking through it. The fad originated in a video clip on YouTube posted by . Schleichkorn, who while at his cousin's house in Florida, talked Ryan Reed, a husky former high school football player, and his cousin Jon Schleichkorn into plowing into an old fence, breaking it down.
Fence plowing received news coverage in an Associated Press story, regarding the arrest of teenagers in Suffolk County on Long Island who copied Schleichkorn's clip, which ran on every news channel across the country. The television coverage was followed up several interviews with Schleichkorn, on FOX News, ABC News, and ABC's 20/20.
While the original video showed fence plowing in his cousin's own backyard, the arrests for vandalism on Long Island were from breaking other peoples' fences. Schleichkorn, who has created many popular internet clips since the incident which he releases on his Youtube channel, has always maintained his stance against vandalism, and "never intended for it to be done to public property". He's stated that he was inspired by the TV series, Jackass, and also Howard Stern.

Melodic metalcore, also called Swedecore, Gothencore, Melodic Deathcore and sometimes refered to as the New Wave of American Metal (also abbreviated to NWOAM), is a fusion genre that combines elements of Scandinavian/melodic death metal and early metalcore. It was pioneered by the bands Overcast and Zao, and it was, at one point, a very popular style of heavy metal. The majority of the bands that play melodic metalcore are American, but some bands from Europe, such as Caliban and Heaven Shall Burn, play music in the genre as well..

Melodic metalcore is oftentimes more melodic than "normal" metalcore. Many swedecore bands with two guitarists utilize harmonized lead guitar parts and more melodic guitar riffs. The melodic guitar leads are often juxtaposed against heavy rhythm guitar parts, fast tempo, and brutal vocals, which consist of hardcore-style screaming with occasional melodic singing.
The lyrics are more similar to hardcore than they are to heavy metal., with bands talking about anarchy, environmentalism, and even veganism. Christianity is also a very big theme, with many bands expressing Christain beliefs in their music (As I Lay Dying, Zao).
