Biography
Earlier life
James Collins, was born in Sidcup, Greater London. The son of Christopher Collins, a Corgi registered Gas installer and Company Owner and Debra Collins, a secretary for John Taylor and Assoc. At the age of 15 he started singing lessons with Professional Opera Singer Colin Morris.
James' earliest musical influences were his Grandmother's recordings, most of them featuring famous Sopranos of the day. His nan had always sang opera with James and according to James, "possessed a fine Soprano voice, but rejected the possibility of a singing career because of nervousness as well as age."
