Guttural Secrete is a brutal death metal band from Las Vegas, Nevada. They are currently signed to Unmatched Brutality Records.
Brief History
The band was formed in the summer of 2002 by Blue Jensen, the band's current guitarist and vocalist. He was sick of the "weak" bands in his area, and wanted to find dedicated musicians capable of creating some brutal death metal. He recruited Mike Fitzgerald on drums and Michael Tocci on bass.
With this lineup, a 2-track demo was recorded, which was quite well received. Around a year later, a 4-track MCD was recorded, entitled Artistic Creation With Cranial Stumps. This MCD was then released under Unmatched Brutality, who signed Guttural Secrete to a two-album deal.
Shortly after the release of this, Michael Tocci departed from the band, leaving the band as a two-piece for over a year (simply one guitarist and a drummer). Eventually, they met up with guitarist Randy Thompson, then the guitarist of local band From The Grave. Randy gladly accepted the second guitarist position, thus making the band a three-piece now with two guitarists (an almost necessity for their style of music). This lineup continued to play gigs and progress.
As of 2006, Guttural Secrete's follow-up to ACWCS, Reek of Pubescent Despoilment was released under Unmatched Brutality.
Current Lineup
Blue Jensen: Vocals/Guitar
Mike Fitzgerald: Drums
*Matt Goldberg: Bass/Vocals
**Also involved in The Abominable Iron Sloth, Sutured Esophagus, and The Weirding Way.

Discography
Hope Collapse is an American project that features current and former members of bands like Black Army Jacket, Discordance Axis and Municipal Waste among others. The four veteran musicians wanted to start a new project that combined the aggression of bands like Assuck and Dismember with the dissonance of early Voivod.
Bio
The band was formed when guitarist Andrew Orlando and vocalist Carlos Ramirez started talking about getting a new project off the ground that played tribute to many of their grindcore, death metal and thrash roots. They invited their former Black Army Jacket bandmate, Dave Witte, and the drummer was excited to be part of the new endeavor. With three members (bassist/guitarist Pete Ciccotto was also recruited) living in New York and Witte based in Virginia, conventional writing methods weren't a realistic option. So Orlando sent a CD with the riffs that made up the songs through the mail and after a few weeks met up at a rehearsal studio in New Jersey where they jammed on the five songs for the first time together. The very next day, the basic instrumentals were tracked at Technical Ecstacy studios in New Brunswick with producer Chris Pierce. Ramirez took the rough tracks home and wrote lyrics to the compositions. He went back to the recording studio the next week and laid down his vocals in a two hour session. Additional guitars were recorded with former Anodyne vocalist Mike Hill in Brooklyn a few days later. The songs were mixed and then sent off to be mastered by Scott Hull of the band Pig Destroyer. The resulting EP was entitled Year of the Leper and Inkblot Records released it in 2005.
Hope Collapse plan on writing an album's worth of material and recording it in late 2007. New song titles include "Hospital Ballads" and "Carry The Grief."
