On the other side, Ohio State quarterback Todd Boeckman threw 3 interceptions, with one coming midway through the fourth quarter, after which Ohio State never again touched the ball. On the ensuing Illinois possession, the Illini had 4th-and-inches on their own 33. Ron Zook initially put the Illinois punt team on the field, but after Jim Tressel called an OSU timeout, he thought otherwise. Juice Williams converted on a quarterback sneak. Williams also converted on quarterback draws on the three ensuing 3rd-downs, draining the clock and sealing the Illini victory. Illinois ran for 260 yards againsed an Ohio State defense that had allowed only 65 rush yards per game on the season. With the win, the Illibuck trophy will return to Champaign next year. The Buckeyes moved from 1st to 7th in the week 11 BCS rankings, while the Illini secured the 19th spot .
