Noob-Smoke refers to an alliance formed of two characters from the Mortal Kombat fighting game series; Noob Saibot and Smoke.
About Noob-Smoke
Noob Saibot and Smoke debuted as a tag team in Mortal Kombat: Deception. Their goal as a partnership (though Noob Saibot's personal storyline depicts Smoke as having no real opinion in their decisions together, due to his reprogramming) is to harvest Smoke's nanotechnology which he inherited through automation, manifest inhabitants of the Netherealm with it and subsequently form an army of cyborg-demons, which their motives to ruling such a force is so far unknown.
The tag-team of Noob-Smoke appears as the of Deception.
Every other playable character in Deception has two fighting styles and one weapon. However, instead of switching fighting styles, Noob-Smoke switches characters, and doesn't have a weapon-fighting style.
History
Prior to their union, Noob Saibot and Smoke had no known previous affiliations with each other, except for the fact that they were both Lin Kuei warriors in their lifetimes. Noob Saibot was the original Sub-Zero (and the older brother of Sub-Zero), whereas Smoke was the close friend of Sub-Zero. Following his death, the original Sub-Zero would eventually become the demonic wraith known as Noob Saibot, while Smoke would be captured by his own ninja clan and was automated into a cyborg, programmed to seek and terminate his close friend (who had fled the Lin Kuei).
Both warriors were present during the events of Mortal Kombat 3 (and its variations), in which Noob Saibot (under the orders of his new master, Shinnok) was to spy on the events of Mortal Kombat, and feign an allegance to Shao Kahn - for the time being. It is not certain if this is canon, but it is believed that Smoke had gained Sub-Zero's assistance in regaining his memories and learned that he still had a soul. His soul was able to override his programming and thus became an ally of Sub-Zero's once more. Whether Smoke was able to fight alongside Raiden's forces or not is unclear; what is known is that Smoke was eventually captured by Kahn's minons and locked away in the prisons of Kahn's fortress, apparently a war trophy for the emperor. Smoke was shut down, and remained inactive for many years.
During the aftermath of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance and the beginnings of Mortal Kombat: Deception, the leaderless Noob Saibot found Smoke's inactive body in a prison cell. Realizing that Smoke would be the perfect template for Noob's ambition to create an army of Cyber Demons and to rule the Netherealm, Noob Saibot reprogrammed Smoke and reactivated him, thus allowing his body to reshape (due to his nanotechnological upgrades). He programmed Smoke to obey him and only him without question. The two then headed for Outworld, where Noob Saibot began his journey to ultimate power.
Noob and Smoke were then split off into separate individual fighters for Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. In the game's Konquest mode, however, they are seen working together to infiltrate the Lin Kuei temple, which involved a fight with the Tengu that is only alluded to in the actual gameplay. As Sub-Zero and Taven come to an understanding, Smoke invades and converts Lin Kuei warriors into his cyborg demons, prompting Sub-Zero and Taven to fight them off. Taven defeats Smoke, who departs to inform Noob Saibot of his failure. Taven then encounters and defeats Noob Saibot (who has apparently defeated Sub-Zero during the absence). Taven leaves the unconscious Noob with Sub-Zero as he continues on his quest.
Possible future
It is as of yet unknown as to whether Sub-Zero was successful in cleansing his brother's soul or not. However, it is possible that Sub-Zero was successful as the original Sub-Zero eventually confronts Noob Saibot for control of his body in Noob's ending. It is also unknown if Noob Saibot has given up his plans for world domination or if they have been merely postponed.
As the characters are separated in Armageddon, they each have a separate ending. In Smoke's ending, he transforms into a living cloud-like being that calls itself "Smoke". In Noob Saibot's ending, he is transported to an arena where his entity does battle with the original Sub-Zero over control of Noob's soul. What emerges from the confrontation is only known to be something new.

Combie (ΚÏŒμβη) is a mythical figure from ancient Greece. She was one of the Asopides, daughter of Asopus and Metope, wife of Sokos or Sochos and mother of one hundred children (the Couretes) or the seven Corybantes from Euboea (Prymneus, Mimas, Acmon, Damneus, Ocythous, Idaeus and Melisseus). At the time of Cecrops I reign, Combie and her seven sons left Euboea because of Sokos' madness and went to Cnossus in Crete. Then, they went to Phrygia in Asia Minor and returned to Athens where Cecrops killed Sokos.
Diodorus Siculus writes that Combie was also called Chalkis and that she gave her name to the city Chalkis in Euboea. Stephanus Byzantius adds that she was one of the Asopides. Therefore, the city was founded by Combie the Chalkis. Later, some of the people of this city, called Couretes, went west and founded another homonymous city in Aetolia, near the sea.(Homer B 640).
According to Hesychius, the ancient inhabitants of Polyrrenia (a city in Crete) called the bird crow comba.
The Sons
Melisseus was a king of Crete at the time of Zeus' birth. His daughters Amaltheia and Melissa (= honey-bee) were the nurses of the baby. Apollodorus writes that his daughters were the nymphs Adrasteia and Ide; they raised Zeus with the milk of the goat Amaltheia. Nonnus tells that Melisseus was one of the Couretes who protected Zeus from his father Cronus.
Idaeus seems to be the ancestor of the Idaeoi Dactyloi (dactyloi = fingures). According to Pausanias they were five of them (as our fingures): Heracles, Paeonaeos, Epimedes, Iasios and Idas. These men were protecting the baby in a Cretan cave and they were the first to discover all the metals, including the iron.
Mimas gave his name to a mountain in Erythrae in Asia Minor. It is obvious that this hero was the "giant" who was killed in the Gigantomachia (the war of the Giants) by Zeus or Hephaestus.
Acmon was a powerful magician and the founder of the Phrygian city Acmonia in Asia Minor.
Related Stories
Idaea married Zeus, the king of Crete (not the god).
Idaea was a Cretan nymph who came to northwestern Phrygia in Asia Minor (in the land where Troy was built later) and married king Scamandrus, son of Corybas from Crete. The river that flows there was named Scamandros and the mountain that it springs from Ide, after the homonymous Cretan one. Their son Teucros was the father of Bateia (Myrina), wife of Dardanos and mother of Ilos and Ericthonios.
Ericthonios was the father of Tros who found Troy.
According to Diodorus Siculus, at his time there were some people living in an island called Panchaia near India, who spoke an ancient Cretan dialect. The priests insisted that their ancestors had been brought there from Crete by Zeus when he was a king and ruler of the world. Nonnus tells that a long time before Dionysos, the son of Semele, his father Zeus had defeated the Indians and had conquered the world with his weapons. Arrianos informs us that according to the Indians, Dionysos lived 6042 years before their king Sandracottos (300 B.C.), therefore around 6300 B.C.
