She originally placed as the first runner-up but assumed the title after the original winner was dethroned. Parker herself was later stripped of the title in 2019.
María José Lora Loayza (born 15 August 1990) is a Peruvian business owner, model, and beauty queen who was crowned Miss Grand International 2017 in Phú Quốc, Vietnam. She is the first woman from Peru to win the Miss Grand International title and the first South American to win the crown.
