Benjamin J. Maddy is an American tourism and hospitality executive associated with the travel, entertainment, and hospitality industries in the United States. He is known for his work in tourism sales, destination experiences, and hospitality marketing, particularly in New York City entertainment and travel markets.

Early life and education

Maddy was raised in Traverse City, Michigan, and is associated with the Maddy family connected to Interlochen Center for the Arts.

He attended Interlochen Arts Academy as a theatre major and later studied improvisational comedy with Second City in Chicago.

Career

Maddy began his hospitality career in Chicago restaurant operations before relocating to New York City.

He later worked in tourism and entertainment-related sales and hospitality roles associated with Dave & Buster's, Ripley's Believe It or Not! Times Square, Discovery Times Square, Madison Square Garden, and Radio City Music Hall.

Maddy has also participated in travel and tourism industry organizations including the Student and Youth Travel Association (SYTA), the American Bus Association (ABA), and the National Tour Association (NTA).

Family

Maddy is a descendant of Joseph E. Maddy, founder of Interlochen Center for the Arts.

His stepfather was attorney and civil rights advocate Dean A. Robb, and his stepbrother is attorney and author Matthew Z. Robb.
