Razack Sattar (also spelled Razak Sattar) is an Indian businessman and the founder of Prestige Group, a major real estate development company based in Bangalore, India.
Early life
Razack Sattar is of Gujarati descent, born into a Kutchi Memon Muslim family.
Early business (1950s)
In 1950, Sattar opened a small fabric and tailoring shop in Bengaluru.
The shop, initially named "Prestige House for Men," was located on Commercial Street in Bengaluru. It specialized in tailoring and retailing men's clothing and fabric.
Founding of Prestige Group (1986)
In 1986, Razack Sattar formally founded Prestige Group, transitioning from retail textiles to real estate development.
His sons—Irfan, Rezwan, and Noaman—joined the business as it grew.
Legacy
The original tailoring shop founded by Sattar still operates today as "Prestige The Man Store" on Commercial Street in Bengaluru.
Under his family's leadership, Prestige Group has completed over 300 projects.
