The Shark Mutiny is a novel written by Patrick Robinson and was published in 2001. Four years later the second EDition was published with a new cover picture painted by Larry Rostant. The book is a sequel to USS Seawolf.
Plot summary
The story is AbOUT Chinese expansion in the Middle East. After China and Iran laid a mine field blocking the Persian Gulf, Arnold Morgan, the National Security Advisor, is determined to chase the Chinese back to their home waters. In the chase Morgan sent 24 United States Navy SEALs to the Middle East to destroy Chinese bases and oil platform on USS Shark, an old submarine. However, the Persian gulf blockade was a Chinese ploy in order to delocate the US Navy and China invaded and conquered Taiwan. Meanwhile, a mutiny occurs on USS Shark when its commander refuses to save a stranded group of SEALs. When the crew and the battered SEALs returned home a court martial awaits them.
The Shark Mutiny is Patrick Robinson's novel featuring three tankers sunk by a minefield in the Strait of Hormuz. Arnold Morgan discovered that behind the scene is Iran and the expansionist China. He sends the two teams of SEALs to the Indian Ocean. Their target is to hammer China out of the Indian Ocean. With the Americans distracted, China unleashed an attack to take Taiwan. The tension is high but a mutiny occurs on board USS Shark, jeopardising the entire operation from assisting the SEALs, and when they get back to the U.S.A., a court martial is waiting for Shark's commanding officer and executive officer.
