In 1994, Igor Maznitsa in Raydac Research Group Ltd. developed conceptual new clone of «ZX Spectrum» which was called ZX-Poly. It was a ZX Spectrum compatible multiprocessor platform which supported multicolor for every point and 512x384 screen resolution (but it was back-compatible with the base platform). In 2007, the development (the emulator and the technical reference) was published in the net by its author Igor Maznitsa by permission of Raydac Research Group Ltd. on . Because the «ZX Spectrum» platform does not have any commercial interest at present, all works for hardware implementation of the «ZX-Poly» platform were stopped in 1999.
It has a few screen modes: 256x192 - Standart attribute «ZX Spectrum» videomode 256x192 - 16 colors for every pixel 512x384 - attribute color videomode
Possibilities of the platform allow to color a lot of old «ZX Spectrum» games and applications without serious changes of their executed code.
