Zoey Alissa Nicole Beckner (born January 7, 1986 in Humble, Texas) is an American long distance runner and elite triathlete. Beckner's most noted accomplishment thus far is competing for Team USA in the 2007 Duathlon World Championships in Gyor, Hungary. Beckner is coached by Austin's most notable distance runner, Gilbert Tuhabonye, author of This Voice in My Heart, and USA Triathlon's Southwest Regional Director and elite coach, Michael Bland. Beckner is an alumna of Humble High School located in Humble, Texas. She ran collegiately for the University of Texas at Austin where she currently resides. Quotes --Zoey Beckner |
