Zillur Uddin

Zillur Uddin (born 27 February 1979) is a British entrepreneur / businessman. He is the founder and Chairman of the FY Groups of Companies. He is best known for turning around failing businesses such as Indian Summer which he bought from a receivership in 2004 and sold in 2007 for a big profit. Uddin’s overall background experience is an array of achievements and success.
Background
Uddin was born in East London, the eldest of five siblings, he studied at from the age of 11 to 16 achieving 6 GCSEs. He then attended the Tower Hamlets College, where he achieved GNVQ in Business and Finance. He later worked in restaurants, off licenses and factories.
Uddin has built and grown several businesses. He is currently the Chairman of FY Groups of Companies, which specialises in buying and building failing businesses, such as Package King, which today is a leader in the market to supply fast food chains of all their packaging products.
Uddin employs around 120 full time and around 60 part time staff. Uddin’s net value is 7.3 million
Uddin was a candidate for the Libdems at the Council Elections in the East India and Lansbury ward.
FY Groups of Companies and Package King
Uddin is currently the Chairman of FY Groups of Companies, it is made up of several small businesses, surrounding in Property and catering. FY Groups of Companies currently consists of FY Investments, FY Formations, FY Corporation, FY Express and FY/ZM Caterers.
FY Investments
FY Investments is a limited company. Uddin is the sole proprietor for the company. FY Investments Specialise in residential development, it’s a company operating in the prime central London market. The company was incorporated in 2000 by Uddin, whom had no experience at the time in the property market, however today Uddin has a wealth of experience in the sector. FY Investments currently owns and manages a large number of properties in Central and East London
FY/ZM Caterers
FY/ZM Caterers cater at every type of event, from private celebrations to corporate events and weddings.
Package King
Uddin is the driving force behind Package King. The company is a wholesale manufacturer of fast food packaging products, importing the best quality products at a low price.
Charity work
Since 2006 Uddin has been sponsoring Marie Curie Cancer Care on a regular basis. He has also been sponsoring an Orphanage Centre in Bangladesh since 2005 and also sends money to families and other charities located in Bangladesh.
