Ziad El Chaar

Ziad El Chaar (born 1973, Beirut, Lebanon) is a Lebanese business executive based in the GCC, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of DarGlobal. He is also the Chairman of Wasalt Real Estate Services and Vice Chairman of Quara Holding.
Throughout his career, El Chaar has served as CEO and Chairman in several real estate and development companies across the Middle East and Europe.
Early Life and Education
Ziad El Chaar was born in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1969. He earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the American University of Beirut.
Career
El Chaar began his career in 1993 at Fattal Holding SAL while pursuing his MBA. Starting as a sales manager, he advanced to the role of Group Executive Director by 2001.
In 2005, El Chaar joined DAMAC Properties, where he held various senior roles, including Vice President of International Sales, General Manager of Operations, and Managing Director and Executive Director of the board of directors.
El Chaar resigned from DAMAC in 2017.
In 2017, El Chaar was appointed CEO of Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development, leading the company’s diversification into international markets through partnerships with luxury brands.
In 2018, El Chaar briefly served as CEO of Ventures and Business Development at Emaar Properties.DarGlobal was listed on the London Stock Exchange, in February 2023.
El Chaar holds additional leadership roles, including:
* Chairman of BFC Group Holdings WLL (since 2019),
* Chairman of the digital AI-driven real estate platform Wasalt Real Estate Services.
* Vice Chairman of Quara Holding (since 2020), which oversees subsidiaries such as Dar Al Arkan, Khair Capital, and Quara Finance.
