Zeta Tau Omega, located at Concordia University, is the oldest local sorority in Montreal, Quebec. The organization provides academic scholarships and engages in extra-curricular activities, including philanthropy and community service. History Zeta Tau Omega was organized by six women of Loyola College on November 28, 1967. On December 5, 1967, a constitution was adopted and formal plans for probationary recognition began. On January 15, 1968, a brief petitioning for recognition was submitted to the college Sub Committee on Fraternities and Sororities. The appeal was accepted, and Zeta Tau Omega became an official sorority with a membership of thirty women.
