Zedst Airways Flight 863 Description A Zest Air Xian MA60, registration RP-C8892 performing flight Z2-863 from Manila to Caticlan (Philippines) with 55 passengers and 4 crew, overran runway 24 while landing at Caticlan's airport at 7:55am local (Jun 24th 23:55Z). The airplane stopped with all gear on soft ground close to a road embankment, no injuries occured. At the time of the accident runway 06 was active due to wind, however the crew requested to land on runway 24 and reportedly landed long (about half way down the 950 meter/3100 feet long runway) and fast. The emergency landing canceled 32 flights to Caticlan for 10 hours. |
