Zed Gossip is a Zambian, online, gossip website which publishes secret and dirty information, news both verified and unverified, rumours and various classified media content about Zambian celebrities and the activities they are involved in. The website has 5 editors who publish stories submitted from anonymous sources. Zed Gossip started out as a Facebook page in September, 2012 and reached a milestone of 18,000 Likes in December, 2012. Its website, initiated in January, 2013 after Facebook removed the Page for violating its Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions hosted by Free Hosting claimed 2000 hits a day with an average of 15 users online each moment. Noah Silomba, a Zambian Journalism student, is generally described as its administrator and editor-in-chief. Cassie, Malama Malama and Veronica are the only publicly known and acknowledged co editors of Zed Gossip. Journalists and reporters for Zed Gossip operate undercover and anonymously in Zambia, but the editors live none public lives due to threats on their lives. The group has released a number of significant stories which have become front-page news items.
