Yu Taishan

Yu Taishan (, b. 1945) is a Chinese author, scholar, historian, essayist, and currently is a professor of History at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. He was born in Shanghai and graduated in history from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 1981. He is a renowned scholar and a specialist of Central Asian history. He published several books in the Chinese language, including 6 monographs and 92 papers since 1983 onwards, some of them are available at the Sino-Platonic Papers.
