Youth in Business Africa

Youth in Business Africa (YiB Africa) is an open community, membership based trade support institution (TSI), working to protect and promote the commercial interests of African youth in business. YiB Africa
engages the public and private sectors so as to create favorable trade and investment opportunities which support the growth of economic activities by young men and women in the community, including persons with disability. Members include micro, small, medium and large enterprises.
History
Youth in Business Africa was founded in 2019 by Tim Shikalo, an entrepreneur and business investor. The purpose of YiB Africa is to create employment for the youth, mainly because young people are more likely to hire fellow peers. Young people are also responsive to new economic opportunities and trends because of the hardships they face in the 21st century decades 2000-2009, 2010-2019, and 2020-.
Recent data shows that new businesses tend to create more jobs than the older ones because of the innovative models associated with the startups. However, most youth in business fail to launch their ideas or sustain their ventures because of difficulty in finding reliable markets and money. Some are not able to identify the best opportunities within their localities needing viable solutions.
