YMCA May Building (Huntington, West Virginia)

The Huntington YMCA in Huntington, Virginia is a YMCA that was established in 1885.
Its current main building, the YMCA May Building is a building with three racquetball courts. The building has a 18.2 meter, four lane warm water pool, with a spray mushroom. The building was renovated in 2011 for $500,000. The building is the meeting place for the YMCA chess club that hosted a tournament in 2011.
The Huntington YMCA was founded in 1885. It operated in parts of two different buildings, then constructed its own building in 1931 at the intersection of 9th street and 10th avenue. It later added another building, and eventually developed its current main building.
It is run by an operating entity, and there is a supporting entity, the The Huntington YMCA Foundation Inc, which supports it. The Foundation had more than $1.9 million in net assets at the end of 2020.
