YJM308 Yngwie Malmsteen Overdrive

Design
Yngwie Malmsteen assisted the DOD engineering team to help re-create the tonal qualities of the original gray DOD250 pedal which he uses. The design development utilized electronic testing and real-time analysis of various overdrive and equalization combinations to satisfy the expectations of Yngwie's signature sound. The initials of Yngwie's name were used to for the model number YJM308.

Why is this called 308 ?
Normally 308 as numeral number comes from Yngwie's favorite car name Ferrari 308. But otherwise, 308 describes "CJR";let 1 of numeral number gives "A" of alphabetic literal.
So CJR means "Custom Johan Reissue".

Defference between reissue 250 and 308
Original gray 250 has unique parts and circuits which are only able to be made in late 70's. The reissue pedal uses current erectronic technique and manipulations. The 308 did copy over all of gray 250's specifications which have been without true-bypass or specific parts and electronic circuits.

General information
The YJM308 overdrive pedal features Gain, sound pressure level controls and a bypass footswitch.
The DOD250 pedal which is the pedal that inspired the YJM308, has subsequently been brought back by great demand. and the YJM308 has been discontinued.

Circuits
The 308 pedal normally cuts some bass waveform of input signals as origin. Two controls exist. They are gain and level.

Modifications
Most popular moddifier of 308 pedal is AnalogMan. They let the 308 have true-bypass and led indicator.
