Yarmulke day

Yarmulke Day is a day that stresses and pushes racial and religious tolerance among all people, it first originated in 2003. Yarmulke Day is celebrated in December, on the last day before what used to be called "Christmas recess" begins. Yarmulke Day seems to be an idea whose time is coming. (Daniel J.) Torres put the idea up on MySpace.com, accompanied by the Beatles singing "Revolution," and has seen his friends list shoot up to 3,000 and counting. People from 25 countries have responded. Yarmulke Day is getting attention as a call for tolerance because the yarmulke itself is a symbol of respect. The day originated in New Paltz, New York, by high school student Daniel J. Torres.
