Yaatri

Yaatri is a 2 man band (Rashed Uddin Ahmed Topu and Imtiaz Khan Emran), consisting of these two persons, which came together when both were searching for their musical identities.
Topu discovered his love for music back in high school when he started to compose and sing on his guitar. He was literally inspired to write by what he saw around him. Not only did he observe elements of nature like leaves changing their shades of colour in fall and winter birds coming in from foreign lands, but he also wrote about many of his friends that he used to hang out with. He started his musical life in college, composing and writing lyrics. Upon joining NSU his friends Misho Bhai and Pranjol got him into NSUSS (North South University Shangskritik Shongothon) in 2003.
In 2004 when Emran joined the same club, they started jamming. Emran was already a part of the band Raaga (who’s self titled debut album was released in February 2005.) The first line up of their band was Bipu (guitars), Mitu (bass), Emran (keys) and Topu (vocals). It was then when Tony (drummer from Black) collaborated with them for their first singe “Ek Paye Nupur” which was released in Tony’s Shopnochura at the end of 2004.
Yaatri was not officially formed until 2005 when Tony asked for another song in his sequel album "Shopnochura II". So they decided to do this project where Topu would compose and sing and Emran would arrange and produce. Their song “Ekta Gopon Kotha” at that point was one of the highlights of that album, and this fame and recognition brought Khaled Bhai from G Series to offer them a record deal in November 2005. The next 8 months was there journey really began. Collaborating with other guitarists, vocalists, bassists and drummers, Yaatri finished their album named “Daak” in October 2006 releasing it with a Bang at Eid-ul-Fitr. The music can be described as acoustic pop/easy listening with simple yet soulful melodies filled with a medley of various acoustic and electronic sounds, and romantic and awakening lyrics.
They then made a song in Underground 2, the song is called Chetona.
But after Yaatri was broken (February 2008), Imtiaz Khan Emran, who said he could not work in a two bands.
Afterwards, Topu fact are solo album, composition made by Fuad al Muqtadir in February 2008 named Bondhu Bhabo Ki ?
Currently he’s working on his 2nd solo album : Sheye Ke ?
