Xyro Productions is an film production company that was created by Bryce Seifert and Makena Buchanan that specializes in creating short films for online release. The company is best known for receiving the Best Film of Houston, along with five other awards, in the 2011 Houston 48 Hour Film Go Green Contest. About Xyro Productions was started in 2008 when their first video appeared on their YouTube account. It started out as a two-man team with Bryce Seifert and Makena Buchanan being involved in all aspects of the films being made, but since early 2009 they group as solicited the help of outside actors and crew. In the summer of 2009, they entered the Houston 48 Hour Film Project (and at the time where the youngest team to enter) and made the film Saving Our Suburbs, which earned an the Audience Choice award. In 2010, the group returned to compete and earned an honorable mention for their ensemble of actors. Currently, the videos on their YouTube have an accumulated view count of over 25,000.
