The term X Committee is a name given to the Anglo-American neo-conservative apparatus that has been playing the role of Israeli ally for decades. It has notably been described and characterized by conspiracy theorist Lyndon Larouche. The term refers to senior Reagan-era Pentagon officials suspected of deploying Israeli spy Jonathan Jay Pollard, but never caught. Among those still playing pivotal roles today in Washington are Richard Perle, Michael Ledeen, Paul Wolfowitz, Frank Gaffney, and Douglas Feith. The Committee has been blamed for a variety of conflicts and war schemes in the Middle East.
