WZMT - Minecraft Radio

WZMT is an online Minecraft Radio station that was founded in late 2013 by Zach Thompson. It is best known for its collection of Minecraft music, but also features occasional news and talk programs. WZMT features a nightly four hour electronic music block known as Electronic Euphoria. Electronic Euphoria is powered by the online electronic music radio station FreeSpark Radio. WZMT comes from the initials of its creator Zach Thompson.
History
WZMT was under an initial test period for about two months with a team of private testers prior to its public release. The tests proved to be successful as critical flaws were noticed in the streaming server but were quickly fixed. WZMT was originally intended to be a talk radio station that featured commentaries and other programs by Zach Thompson. However, it was changed due to a lack of personnel and content. Needing a new format, Thompson finally settled on Minecraft after noticing the large volume of uncopyrighted music based on Minecraft. WZMT was first released only as an announcement to Thompson's followers on his personal Twitter account. Wanting to increase his audience, Thompson would later have WZMT added to the online radio station directory, TuneIn. The addition of the station to TuneIn proved to be successful, as the number of listeners grew significantly. As the number of listeners increased, Thompson began shaping the image of WZMT by creating a website, an Android app, a dedicated email address, and dedicated social media accounts on services such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. His most recent action was adding WZMT to the iTunes online radio database under the "Top 40/Pop" category. To this day, WZMT proves to be a popular online radio station.
Music Collection
The WZMT music collection consists of parodies and original songs by various popular YouTube personalities including CaptainSparklez, TryHardNinja, FireRockerzstudios, MineworksAnimations, Minecraft Jams, and various others. Several of the songs found on WZMT contain vocals performed by recording artist, Lindee Link.
