Writing to Instruct Summary
Writing to Instruct is where you would give someone instructions or bulletpoints on what they should do. They are many forms of Writing to Instruct the main one is a recipe book. A recipe book is a form of writing to instruct because it has a list on what you should do and it is clear and to the point.
Rules
As with all writing types there are rules. The rules that are below help you write to instruct. If you do not follow the rules the text may not make sense and then also not me writing to instruct. The rules are as followed.
1. Use of imperatives./ 2. Short Scentences./ 3. Lots of Detail./ 4. Be specific - get your point across./ 5. Start with the verb./ 6. Step by Step./ 7. Chronological order./ 8. In specific time order.

Chrono - Time / Logical - Makes Sense / Logic - In specific order.

How to make a cup of tea
1. Fill the kettle with water./ 2. Boil the water./ 3. Take the cup out of the cupboard./ 4. Take a teabag and place in a cup.

All you need to know to make a decent peice of writing to instruct someone is the rules above. Then there is no way you can go wrong. Try to make it in bullet points and short scentences but with lots of detail.
