Wladimir A. Sutil (born October 31, 1984 in Caracas, Venezuela) is a Venezuelan professional baseball shortstop for the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball. The 5'10", 155-pound Sutil began his professional career in 2004 with the Greeneville Astros, hitting .298 with 24 stolen bases in 53 games. He split 2005 between the Tri-City ValleyCats (59 games) and Lexington Legends (nine games), hitting a combined .319 with 15 stolen bases in 68 games. In 2006, he played for the Legends (60 games) and Salem Avalanche (29 games), hitting .257 with 28 stolen bases in 89 games. He spent all of 2007 with the Avalanche, hitting .272 with a career-high 36 stolen bases in 112 games. With the Avalanche (21 games) and Corpus Christi Hooks (93 games) in 2008, Sutil hit .261 with 28 stolen bases in 114 games. He spent all of 2009 with the Hooks, hitting .273 with 19 stolen bases in 125 games. On November 27, 2011, he signed a minor league contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
