Jordan Parraz

Jordan E. Parraz (born October 8, 1984) is a minor league baseball outfielder who is a free agent.
Career
Parraz attended Community College of Southern Nevada. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the sixth round of the 2003 Major League Baseball Draft, but he did not sign, because they drafted him as a pitcher. He was selected by the Houston Astros in the third round (94th overall) of the 2004 MLB Draft, and signed. He was signed June 21, 2004.
Parraz played the 2004 season with Rookie level Greeneville, where he hit .244 in 53 games with 8 steals in 13 attempts. He played the 2005 season with Short-Season Tri-City, hitting .262 in 71 games with 3.75 strikeouts per walk and 17 steals in 20 attempts. After staying at Tri-City for 2006, he had a breakout season, hitting .336 in 70 games with 1.33 strikeouts per every walk and 23 steals in 26 attempts. He was voted to the New York-Penn League All-Star Game, where he participated in the Home-Run Derby, hitting 2 home-runs, and scored the National Leagues only run. Zach Daeges, Brennan Boesch and Allen Craig all took part in the derby. Parraz played 2007 with Single-A Lexington, hitting .281 in 122 games with 33 steals in 43 attempts and 1.89 strikeouts per walk.
He was traded to the Royals as the player to be named for left-hander Tyler Lumsden in December 2008. He started 2008 with Double-A Northwest Arkansas, where he hit .358 in 64 games and was voted to the Texas League All-Star Game, but did not play due to a hamstring injury. He rehabbed for 4 games with Rookie level Idaho Falls, and he played for Triple-A Omaha for 13 games, finishing the season. He played all of 2010 with Omaha, hitting .266 in 123 games with only 8 steals. The Yankees designated him for assignment in February 2011. He cleared waivers and accepted a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training with the Yankees. He played 2011 with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, hitting .289 in 126 games with 2.17 strikeouts per walk.<ref name="baseball-reference.com"/>
On November 3, 2011, Parraz signed a minor league contract with the Atlanta Braves.
