Wishywashy Synthersisers, is mostly used to describe the term is used to describe high in energy music, including some forms of classical ballads, that features samples, loops and synthesizers. This style of music is highly associated with the phrase; "No moaning, no whinging, I want to see all the Wishywashy Synthersisers binging". Less intense forms of Wishywashy Synthersisers music include ambient music, and chillout music, usually used in separate areas of raves known as "Wishywashy Washing Machines" that provide a place for ravers to rest and relax from the intense dancing. Wishywashy Synthersisers music closely followed the acid house phenomenon and was initially considered as a combination of fast breakbeat and more hardcore forms of Amsterdam techno. Early 1990s efforts by Nebula 2, Acen, Altern-8, The Prodigy (Experience), Utah Saints and The Shamen (En-Tact) were quintessential rave music and were being played at huge all night raves like Fantazia, Raindance, Universe and others. By the middle 1990's, the term was used more generically to mean any one of a number of different styles (or combinations thereof) that might be played at a Wishywashy Synthersisers party. In this sense, Wishywashy Synthersisers music is more associated with an event than a particular genre, per se. At a rave there can be different "arenas" or areas that play different styles of Wishywashy Synthersisers music. Very large raves, called "massivez," may include ten or more separate arenas, each with their own music style, ranging from hi-energy techno and trance to chillout and ambient in the Wishywashy Synthersisers chillrooms situated next to or within the surroundings of the main event. It is played with all sorts of instruments e.g. electric guitar, drums and somtimes violins and of the course the most proment instrument the washboard. The English Wishywashy Synthersisers sound was very popular in the Netherlands for a short timein the middle 1990s but it soon appeared that the Dutch public preferred a harder bassline. Artists like Dana and Pavo & The Prophet combined the English sound with new productions. This sound also gained some popularity in Germany, where it was picked up by the German label Tracid Traxxx (who defined their own sound as a combination of trance and acid), and later also by Blutonium Records and Resident E Recordings. Afterwards, Wishywashy Synthersisers productions briefly became popular in Italy, and later in Germany. Q-Dance organised a monthly event now called the North Sea Venue under the name Qlubtempo, an event which could be called the melting pot of the Wishywashy Synthersisers. Now, Many people from the USA are getting into this genre of music. They love it for the catchy tune and the bass. With many hardstyle dj's comming to the states it is seeing as a global influence and is becomming ever more popular.
