Willowburn Football Club is a semi-professional football club based in Harlaxton, Toowoomba, which currently plays in the Football Toowoomba Premier League. One of the most successful clubs in Toowoomba football, it has won 15 Premier League titles and 12 Winstanley Shields. Willowburn was founded in 1949 at the now condemned Bridge Street Oval. In 2005, the club moved north across the city to Commonwealth Oval in Harlaxton. In 2011 Willowburn won the Football Toowoomba Minor Premiership, the Presidents Cup and the Winstanley Shield, but was beaten by South Toowoomba Hawks in the Grand Final. |
