William Markrois

William Markrois (born November 6, 1984) is an entertainer and writer in New Orleans, Louisiana, US.
He is a six time YEAH! Award winner who rose to fame in 2002 with his critically acclaimed one-man show "Me, Myself and, I". Since his debut in 2002 he's gone on to write, produce and or, star in several stage shows, he's hosted a talk show, and directed two movies. He's currently attending The University of New Orleans, where oddly enough
he isn't studying Drama but rather Computer Science.
After a long hiatus it's rumored that he's planning a huge comeback for 2009 with a new stage show, and a novel.
Early Years/Rise To Fame
Markrois rose to fame in the spring of 2002 after completing high school, the then 17 year old traveled to San Francisco, CA. where we would perform a one hour set titled "Me, Myself and I". The set left theater goers craving more of this fresh face kid and more he would give them. Over the summer Markrois crafted the one-hour set into a two-hour one man show with the name title, "Me, Myself and I", and would travel to several town fairs and other local events and perform. During the fall of 2002 Markrois enrolled in the Computer Science Program at the University of New Orleans, but just as things started looking up his life would take a tragic turn. During his first year of college his grandmother who along with his mother raised him from age two when his father left became ill. The very next semester Markrois would resign from the University of New Orleans and drop completely off the entertainment radar. Long before his big break with his one-man show Markrois created a television series entitled "Trio" which was based on a family of super heroes. The idea was pitched to an international production company who agreed to film the pilot. Communication between Markrois' entertainment lawyer and the entertainment company broke down after Markrois' mother stated that her son would finish school before engaging in any other hobbies.
U Got Saved (2004)
After missing in action for more than two years, Markrois shocked fans and critics alike when he announced that he would return to the stage in a brand new show entitled "U Got Saved". The show was based on a character who tried to help everyone when he couldn't even help himself. It was rumored that this character was based on Markrois' actual life. The show opened on June 17, 2004 and ran for twelve sold out weeks in his hometown of New Orleans, LA. Few fans knew that on opening night just moments before taking the stage Markrois suffered a serve noise bleed. Paramedics on site stopped the bleeding and always the trooper Markrois returned to thrill the crowds.
You Got It Bad (2005-2007)
During the late summer of 2005 Markrois began run-throughs for a brand new show entitled " You Got it Bad". After starting and stopping his career many times, he was more focused than ever and ready to thank his fans with a show like none they had seen from him before. Opening Night of "You Got it Bad" was scheduled for October 13, 2005 in New Orleans, LA. at the Mahalia Jackson Theatre. By now we all know that hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans on August 29 destroying the theater and much of the city. All of Markrois' sets and props along with his home were destroyed in the storm and after riding the storm out in New Orleans, Markrois would relocate to Baton Rouge, LA. With his cast and crew scattered all across the country Markrois still tried to pull the production together and launch it on January 12, 2006. That show was canceled because most of the cast couldn't be found or replaced in time. After scheduling the show several times throughout 2006 and 2007 and being forced to cancel them. Markrois left his fans a note on MySpace saying that he would give one final performance of his hit one Man Show "Me, Myself and I", and then leave the entertainment industry for good. Fans from all around the country flocked to Markrois' final show in Atlanta, GA. some paying upwards of $150.00 to see the show. It sold out in three days. Markrois took the stage on July 29, 2007 and said goodbye to over a thousand fans.
Return From Hiatus/Introducing Markrois (2008)
In early 2008 Markrois fans began to send him tons of messages asking him to return to the stage if not for himself for them. He would grant them that wish and schedule the never before seen "You Got it Bad" for September 27, 2008 at Tulane University's Auditorium, with a seven city tour to follow. With a few weeks to go before opening night Markrois was seriously injured and rushed to Oschner Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. The writer/actor had to undergo two major operations, and was forced to cancel the tour. In October 2008 Markrois was seen leaving a recording studio in New Orleans, LA. The owner said he and Markrois were working on a brand new project that would be released in early 2009. To further fuel that fire it was revealed on November 27, 2008 that Markrois had just finished a photo shoot for a brand new stage show. On November 29, 2008 Markrois' official Myspace page was finally updated after nearly a year. The new layout featured a dark theme with black tears, and featured the headline "Introducing Markrois". It has been confirmed by Markrois' old manger that the two are no longer working together and neither is any of the old Markrois staff working on this new project. A source close to the writer/actor reveals that Markrois will play a mentally ill patient in his latest production which is rumored to be a response to a comment his ex-wife left of his Myspace page.
Schizophrenic (2009)
On November 30, 2008 a source close to Markrois revealed that he would be going on tour in the winter of 2009 to support a new stage show entitled "Schizophrenic". Opening night of the tour is expected to take place in late January in his hometown of New Orleans, LA. This show is Markrois' good guy gone bad production. Known for his shows that uplift and inspire, the writer/actor has changed his style and is set to shock fans and critics when they see his latest and greatest show. Markrois work with a new photographer from his hometown Alexander White on the photoshoot for the production, and for the first time since breaking on to the scene has not enlisted the help of Vivid Images to design his flyer and other promotional materials. He's is rumored to be working with a south Florida company.
Diary Of A Sinner (2009)

To date the poem collection has moved upwards of 25,000 copies. After the unexpected success of the poem collection Markrois inked a distribution deal with the world's largest book distributor and formed his own publishing company named I.D. Publishing LLC. Markrois is expected to release a deluxe edition of Diary of a Sinner through his own publishing company during the latter part of 2009.
The Root Of All Evil

Anywhere But Here
Markrois is scheduled to release the follow up to his highly success Diary of A Sinner poetry collection on Friday November 6, 2009. The collection will be entitled "Anywhere But Here" the release date is oddly scheduled for a Friday instead of a Tuesday so it can be released on Markrois' 25th Birthday. The collection will be on sale worldwide on November 6 and will feature 80 brand new poems for Markrois. Like Diary of A Sinner, Anywhere But Here follows a character through his growing pains, however this book will focus more on a journey through life than the dark themes of Diary. Markois will release the book's cover artwork on his revamped webpage on October 6, 2009. In addition to the artwork he will also release the lead pem from the book. After completing his second collection on poems Markrois announced he would take a break from writing poetry to focus on preping his magazine for a fall release.
