William Henry Tennison Pery, 2nd Earl of Limerick

William Henry Tennison Pery, was born on 19 October 1812 in Limerick, Ireland. He was the son of Henry Hartstonge Pery (1789-1834) and Annabella Tenison Edwards (c.1787-1868) and grandson of Edmund Pery, 1st Earl of Limerick. Following the death of his grandfather in 1844, William succeeded him as the 2nd Earl of Limerick. He married twice. First to Susanna Sheaffe (1802-1841) on 16 April 1838, Norfolk Island, Australia, and had issue * William Pery, 3rd Earl of Limerick * Susanna Second to Margaret Horsley (1828-1875) on 6 April 1842, Norfolk Island, Australia, with whom he had seven children before they divorced in 1863. Pery died on 5 January 1866 in Lambeth, London, England. His burial took place on 12 January 1866, in the Pery family vault in St Mary's Cathedral, Limerick. |
