William A. Woodall (born 1975) is an American author of fantasy novels, primarily for young adults. Most of his work contains a distinctly Christian flavor. His published works include the following: The Prophet of Rain- a novel set in the fantasy realm of Rustrum, which has been taken over by an evil king who terrorizes his people. This novel is the story of a boy named Jeremy who is called by God to destroy the king and defend his land against an even worse enemy who arises afterward. Jeremy is an unlikely hero and often doesn't welcome the task appointed to him, but in time he learns that his sufferings are worthwhile. Beneath a Star-Blue Sky- A collection of seven short stories dealing with various topics. Most are of the fairy-tale genre, with one historical romance. Cry for the Moon- In this novel, the main character, Zach, tells the story from his own point of view. He describes growing up in a family which is cursed by their own choice, and his desperate attempt to escape that fate for himself by running away from home and attempting to find his uncle Justin in Texas. This he does, but along the way he learns much about the high cost of doing the right thing, and about love and life as well. In the end the story is about God's grace to those who are lost in the dark, as Zach finds his way to Christ. Mr. Woodall has lived in both Arkansas and Texas, and much of his work is set in that region.
