Willem van der Merwe and Louis van der Merwe (born 26 April 1982) are two South African opera singing brothers from Stellenbosch who reached the finals of the of SABC2's SA's Got Talent in 2009. Willem is a tenor, while Louis is a baritone, and both proved in the show that they can reach and hold the high-notes with style. While the pair didn't win the competition, which was decided by a massive phone in vote, they definitely captured the judges and the public's attention. History While Louis captured the attention of the South African media for announcing that he entered the competition to get his ex-girlfriend back, the pair were quickly marked amongst the favourites for their actual singing skills. |
