Wilfredo Amr Ruiz is a Muslim chaplain, columnist with the Huffington Post and El Diario de NY, lawyer and communications director with CAIR Florida, and a political analyst with Analista Internacional. He is the founder of the Puerto Rico and Connecticut chapters of The American Muslim Association of North America (AMANA). After converting to Islam, he put on hold his career as an attorney to get a master's degree in Islamic studies and Muslim-Christian relations from the Hartford Seminary in Connecticut Amr Ruiz lives in South Florida. He is married and has twin sons. In 1997 he performed Hajj, the Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca.
