Wildlife Explorer was a video documentary series, narrated by Anthony Valentine. There was also an accompanying animal fact sheet series, which the documentaries were based loosely on a selection of animals therein.
Due to its failing status, only three films were made:
Powerful Predators, Animal Defences and Weird and Wonderful
Powerful Predators The first film's main focus was on how predators kill their prey and the techniques used and practised to obtain perfection.
Cheetah In the serengetti, the documentary features a female cheetah, who has four cubs to care for. She loses two to a lioness, and from then on teaches the other two how to accomplish the techniques needed to use speed to catch prey.
Orca and Great White Shark In the ocean, orcas or killer whales, are shown preying on the sea lions that lie on the beach, as well as a focus on how they once herded great whales in haling stations. The focus then switches to the extreme senses and predatorial measures of the Great White Shark as well as small focuses on the Hammerhead Shark, Angel Shark and Moray Eel
Grizzly Bear In the Arctic wastes, the Grizzly Bear's strength is shown to be an extreme weapon, especially when fighting a Moose.
Nile Crocodile and Green Anaconda At the edge of the serengetti, the Nile Crocodile's patience is watched as it waits for the wildebeest of the serengetti to come for water. Then, the focus is switched to the Green Anaconda and its hunting technique from the water.
Animal Defences The second film focuses on the way animals survive against predators using different methods of defence.
Porcupine The film focuses on how a Crested Porcupine uses its spikes to defend itself from predators such as lions.
Chameleon At Mount Kenya, the chameleon's method of camouflage is vastly demonstrated, as well as a vague reference to a stick insect and a bongo.
Clownfish and Anemone In the ocean, the clownfish-anemone relationship is shown for how they protect one another against predators. There is also a reference to many different crabs using different methods of decoration, and a focus on a lionfish.
Zebra and Rhinoceros In the serengetti, zebras' stripes are shown to confuse predators. Rhinos are also shown to be both aggressive and gentle.
Poison Arrow Frog In the Amazon Rivr, a spectrum of beautiful Poison Arrow Frogs are shown to need no other method of defence. Just poison on their own skins.
