Wifi marketing

Wi-Fi marketing is a brick and mortar marketing strategy used to promote a product or service. In exchange of providing customers with access to free Wi-Fi, retailers will typically require guests to submit some form of personal information, such as connecting their social media profile(s) or entering their email address. Other tactics involve customers to preview or navigate through specific products, offers, promotions or services in order to access the Internet.
There are several reasons why Wi-Fi marketing is rapidly becoming one of the most effective strategies for location-based businesses. Such examples include:
* Digital word-to-mouth: When a customer has access to free Wi-Fi, they are more likely to "check-in" or update their social media profile(s) regarding where they are, thus alerting their digital network.
* Capture consumer patterns: Analytics of consumer purchasing habits help businesses strategize marketing efforts and become savvier about "how to" please their guests.
* Email marketing: Because it's common to require customers to provide a valid email address, businesses become more efficient at building their contacts database. This information can be used to send current and past clients marketing material such as news alerts and press releases, limited-time offers and promotions, exclusive events, blogs, updated menu options (e.g., restaurants), loyalty programs, etc.
