Whiteberg

Whiteberg are a sonic art ensemble, formed in 1983, by artist; Count Emmanuel Whiteberg. The group’s original members, until 2006, were Emmanuel Whiteberg, Ronnie Gurdjieff, Pablo Ouspenski, Philip Marinetti and Maitland White. After this, most members of the band were replaced, becoming non or semi-participating musical directors.
The line-up of Whiteberg, post 2006, is Algernon Vaniva, Clem Fazuku, Vidya Sahara, Kavita Quartz and Emmanuel Whiteberg (who continues as an active participant).
Whiteberg have a back catalogue of 23 albums, released on their own ‘Superimposition’ record label. The most recent of which was ‘Dougy’s Mind’; released in 2009.
The musical style of the group could be classified as 'No Wave', 'Sonic Art', 'Experimental' or 'Art Rock'; along with artistes such as The Residents, Der Plan, and Devo.
