The White Lotus Tea Club is a tea company based in Staunton, Virginia, USA. At their store, they have handcrafted loose leaf teas made only from Camellia sinensis plants. They also offer educational programs about tea and tea culture. Background Russian-born Olivia Oldaker has degrees in landscape architecture and sociology, and has worked in schools and as a yoga instructor. The White Lotus Tea Club Together with her husband, Donal, she started leading courses and workshops through the Twisted Branch Tea Bazaar and local coffee shops in Charlottesville, North Carolina in 2011. Moving to Staunton, they started a wholesale business that distributes handpicked loose tea leaves that come from Chinese farms.<ref name=C-Ville /> They opened a small tasting room, as well, where they can have up to 10 people for traditional Chinese tea ceremonies. |
