Personal life and interests

She is also on the advisory boards of the Hope and Help Center, a Central Florida AIDS service organization, and the Ripple Effect, an agency that helps homeless people.

She also does a lot of fundraising and volunteer work for the Lance Armstrong Foundation and the Tour of Hope. Two of her three cats (Spalding and Smudge) are from the Orange County SPCA. The third (Pee Wee) wandered into her backyard and refused to leave, so Wendy gave up and invited her in the house.

Her life goal now is to make the most of her second chance by conquering challenges and living strong.
