Way of Infinite Harmony

The Way of Infinite Harmony is a Taoist mystical teaching based on the Immortalization of Her Holiness Princess Ma Gu, Goddess of Cannabis. Devotees celebrate Ma Gu's birthday on the 6th day of the 6th lunar month, the Queen Mother of the West's birthday on the 3rd day of the 3rd lunar month & take part in the "Fire Ritual" on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month. This is in addition to other popular Taoist festivals. There are a large number of stories that feature Her Holiness, the most famous story featuring Ma Gu is the Ma Gu Xian Shou (Ma Gu Offers Longevity), a story that appears in the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West. This story tells of a great feast where Ma Gu gives the Queen Mother of the West (a very important Deity) a special wine made of Cannabis. |
