Warith Mohammed Al Maawali (born August 25, 1977, in Muscat, Oman) is the founder and head of Omani Square, the largest and oldest Internet forum in the Persian Gulf and Arab countries, the acting Chief Executive Officer of NSSG, and the creator of Linux Kodachi, a security-focused Linux distribution. Warith's career also includes two decades of Omani government service. Early Life and Education He pursued higher education in Australia, earning a Master's degree in E-Commerce and a Bachelor's degree in Internet Computing from Griffith University, Brisbane. Holds a Diploma in Computer & Information Systems from Sultan Qaboos University in Muscat. In 2013, under his leadership, EEDS released the Linux Kodachi operating system. EEDS also designed and developed security applications and network protection measures to ensure optimal secure system operation such as StealthWalker, SSLEye Prism Protection and E-Bouncer. In 2019, he assumed the position of CTO at Dreamlab Technologies AG in Switzerland. From January 2020 to September 2022, he served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of NSSG. Since September 2022, Warith Mohammed Al Maawali has been Acting Chief Executive Officer of NSSG and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of NSSG.
