Warfield Ridge

Warfield Ridge is a Gettysburg Battlefield landform used for McLaws' Assault during the 1863 Battle of Gettysburg, Second Day. Located south of Seminary Ridge, from which it is separated by Pitzer Run, the ridge extends southward out of the Gettysburg National Military Park along Ridge Road to at Harper's Hill. The postbellum Confederate Avenue was built on the ridge south to the right flank marker for the Army of Northern Virginia near Bushman Hill. The ridge includes the Alabama Memorial, and both Warfield Ridge and "Warfield Ridge South" are forested with Dry Oak-Mixed Hardwood Forest, while the former also has Modified Succession Forest and on the farmland, Successional Old Field.
