Walter Percy Gardiner

Lieutenant-Colonel, later Colonel Walter Percy Gardiner MC (b. 12 December 1914 Stanford RD, Norfolk (registration district: Swaffham), England) was the father of Princess Muna al-Hussein, and maternal grandfather of His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan.

Sutton, to Doris Elizabeth Sutton (Swaffham, January-March 1916 - by 1994), daughter of Arthur Sutton (born in Great Cressingham, Wayland, Norfolk, ca. 1879, in 1881 living with parents in Fakenham Magna, Thingoe Rural District, in 1891 living with parents in Great Cressingham, in 1938 a shepherd in Chelmondiston), and wife (m. Swaffham, 1904) Dora Elizabeth Alderton (Great Cressingham, Norfolk, ca. 1884, in 1891 living with parents in Great Cressingham, in 1901 living with parents in Great Cressingham); their daughter, Antoinette Avril Gardiner, became Princess Muna al-Hussein in 1961 as the second wife of King Hussein of Jordan.
