Vitaly M. Golomb

Vitaly M. Golomb (born 1981) is a Ukrainian American entrepreneur, consultant and speaker. He is an award-winning designer and a leading user experience and online marketing expert. Vitaly is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Keen Systems.
Background and Education
Born in the Soviet Union, Vitaly migrated to the United States as a refugee with his family in 1990. Vitaly took an early interest in Bulletin Board Systems resulting in an internship at ParaGraph International as a pre-teen where he worked on an online student network predating the World Wide Web, as well as presenting the handwriting recognition technology best known for powering the Apple Newton. By the age of 15, Vitaly was a professional graphic designer, soon working on a number of branding projects including major campaigns for Advanced Technology Solutions and Hitachi Data Systems.
Vitaly studied Communications at Santa Clara University and earned a BA in Computer and Video Imaging from Cogswell Polytechnical College.
Career
Vitaly was a member of the early team at SpinCircuit, a supply chain management web service backed by HP, Cadence and Flextronics, where he oversaw user experience and a number of marketing initiatives. From 2001 to 2005, Vitaly was the CEO of All Digital Printing & Graphics where he enacted a comprehensive turnaround strategy and sold the company. From 2005 to 2010, Vitaly was the head of Sputnik Integrated, a full-service design and marketing agency with offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Moscow Russia. Under Vitaly’s leadership, the agency grew to a multi-million dollar run-rate while attracting world-class talent and landing projects with Electronic Arts, Evernote, FedEx, HP, LookSmart, Namco, Stanford University, Datran Media, Oakland Raiders and many startups.
In early 2008, Vitaly started Keen Systems to bring the opportunities and efficiency of ecommerce to the almost entirely offline $640B world-wide commercial printing trade - the industry’s first multi-tenant SaaS solution.
Speaking and Consulting
Vitaly has guest lectured on web design and online marketing at Northwest Polytechnic University, Cal State Hayward and UC Berkeley. He has also spoken on entrepreneurship and innovation at AlwaysOn Summit, Demo Conference, Stanford Global Technology Symposium, Jewish High Tech Society, Business Radio Network and Silicon Valley Innovation Institute. He has consulted technology and service companies focused on the semantic web, public relations, consumer internet, performance marketing, data visualization, health, information technology and law enforcement.
Philanthropic work
Vitaly is currently the Entrepreneurship Director for Silicon Valley Innovation Institute, a not-for-profit organization supporting innovation advocates across disciplines. Previously, Vitaly served on the Board of Directors of the United Nations Association and Business Council of Silicon Valley.
