Vista Village

Vista Village is a shopping center located in Boise, Idaho. Vista Village, bills itself as the first shopping center in Idaho. It was built in 1949 and owned by Ernest G. Day. The center is still owned by E.G. Day's grandchildren.

The shopping center has gone through a list of stores over the years including Albertsons, Skaggs, Osco Drug, PayLess Drug, C. R. Anthony Co., and Intermountain Outdoor Sports. The shopping center went through a major renovation in 2005 and completed in 2007. The center features a mix of mostly local tenants, in addition to a handful of national retailers - including Rite Aid and Dollar Tree.

Parts of the shopping centers were burned twice over the years. The Albertsons store was burned in 1959 and was rebuilt. Another fire happened in 1995 which destroyed a portion of the center near Day Drive. The owners rebuilt the section to match the rest of the shopping center.
