Vista has seen steady improvemnt since release, however at this time (following release of SP1) there are still many aspects that could be improved upon and where better performance is experienced with XP.

This guide is designed to catalog changes that can be implimented to the standard settings as installed out-of-the-box. This may take the form of either settings in simple windows dialog boixes,disabling services, uninstalling features or registry edits. Its the hope that people may add to this guide with tweaks/settings that have provided some performace benefit while listing any associated disadvantge.
