The Vintage Malt Whisky Company is an Independent bottler of Scotch whisky established in 1992 by founder and ex-export manager for Auchentoshan and Bowmore brands, Brian Crook. Based in Milgavnie, Scotland, the company has a number of brands including the 'Cooper's Choice' range of Single Cask bottlings, but is also responsible for brands such as Finlaggan, Islay Storm, The Ileach, Smokestack and Glenalmond. The business is family owned and run, with Brian's son Andrew Crook taking on the mantle of Managing Director in recent history. In 2016 Whisky Magazine awarded the company a Gold Medal in their Independent Bottler’s Challenge and named them "Lowland Independent Bottler of the Year 2016". In late 2019 it was announced that The Vintage Malt Whisky Company submitted plans to re-open a former Lemonade factory on the island of Islay and convert the site into small-scale production of Rum and Gin . To date The Vintage Malt Whisky Company have exported over 5,000,000 bottles of Scotch Whisky to over 30 Countries, as far a field as Australia. The Vintage Malt Whisky Company is a member of the Scotch Whisky Association.
